Fluke 87V MAX/E2 KIT True-rms Digital Multimeter Combo Kit

Fluke 87V MAX/E2 KIT Fluke makes safe quality test equipment., This is the reason that I stick with this brand. This will be a nice addition to my electrical test equipment. I own a few other Fluke meters for various testing. This meter will primarily be used for off road heavy equipment electrical troubleshooting. Most of it's life will be spent outside in the elements. When it is not being used it will be stored inside of a service truck that is also parked outside. I was originally going to purchase the 87V however I chose the 87V max because I don't feel like messing around with ziplock bags to keep the rain and snow off my equipment if I dont have to. The IP67 rating is an expensive option but I feel that it will end up being a good choice for me. Ha! No more disassembled meters spread out across the dashboard to dry out using the defroster. Honestly the 87v series meters are way more accurate throughout their ranges than I will ever need but I was looking for a CAT III / CAT IV, third party tested and certified safety compliance that I can rely on to work and have the safety and measurement confidance that I need to assure me that the readings are what they say they are every time. "I don't feel like holding a knock off China-bomb in my hand while switching on and off large 3 phase motors (inductive loads) while working on a tower crane. 🤔 Some of the tasks this meter will be called upon to do are... well, just plain basic tests measuring semi low voltage, millivolt to 8 volt range for testing sensor inputs AC, DC, PWM signals, multiplexing systems and driver modules, duty cycle. Your everyday 12V 24V troubleshooting. Adjusting / calibrating hydraulic pump flow via. adjusting the milliamps that are being sent to the pump controller's e.d.c., resistance / continuity tests, AC single phase and 3 phase voltage and current tests via. Amp clamp attachment. I tend to use the min. max recording function for "wiggle tests" and voltage drop testing. I think that it's an awesome feature. The low pass filter is almost an absolute must when dealing with noisy inverter motor drives or vfd's. Occasionally i will use the touch hold feature. I will use the "2-REL power on feature" to replace positioning sensors without the need to recalibrate an entire subset systems calibrations using the zero centered bargraph that you get while using 2-REL. Most of all, the K type thermocouple. "You've got to make sure that your Folgers coffee is at the perfect temperature!" This meter is larger than and heavier than the 87V but not terrible. The diode test functions voltage output is less on the 87V max than it is on the 87V so if you like to test Led's by using your diode test function just note that it might not illuminate medium to large Led's. (It will diode test them just fine though.) Also, the continuity beeper is MUCH quieter on the 87V Max. You won't be disappointed with this meter or the 87V. And another upside for buying a Fluke, you will suffer from less back strain because your wallet will be much lighter after purchasing one! 🤣 ( A shout out to my local 150 brothers and sisters!)

This is a nice meter!!! I bought the E2 kit and I’m very happy I spent the extra money. This is way more durable than the fluke 87v, it came with excellent quality silicone test leads, the tpak magnetic hanger, a thermo couple, a set of test probes and alligator clips as well as a nice case. This meter is bulkier than the regular 87v, but it is better built in every way as well as water proof and drop proof. The screen is super clear and easy to read. On this meter the diode test is only 2v (instead of 3 on the 87v) which really is enough for what I am doing… but some may find it off putting. If you are on the fence about buying this, just get it!! You’re getting an excellent product that will serve you well for many years. The E2 kit is worth the extra money as well because if you bought all the upgrades separately, you would end up spending more. Great job fluke!!!

Excellent update for the the Fluke 77s I've had for years. In all honesty, I sent it back because this meter was too nice for my purposes, would get beat up out in the field. Fluke is still top of the line. (BTW, replaced with a 117, the built in inductive pickup sold me).

Fluke speaks for itself, well know brand great meter and a pretty sweet set. A little on the expensive side but when your working with voltage that will not only kill you but will hurt the whole time your dying, the money is worth the piece of mind.

Great meter, very rugged from what i can tell after first use at work. EDIT When i received my meter it was missing the accessories that are included in the meter kit. I messaged the seller and he told me they would ship me the missing items, send me a tracking number (that never updated since December 24 2024) and i messaged the seller to let him know that the tracking hasn’t updated and i never received any missing items. I’d suggest another seller for a fluke meter if you want the complete kit to come like advertised.
