I purchased this wireless controller recently to use with my PC and I was hoping it would also work with my Atari. Great news! It works. So let's start with the good things: The look and the packaging are both outstanding. It comes with a nice case that holds the controller, the 2 dongles, USB cord and manual. It works with a wide variety of systems, including the Atari 2600 and 7800 (one-button only). I have yet to test on my Atari computer and original Genesis, but those should work fine with it too. Now for some not-so-good things: the controller is very light, which seems a bit odd. I never had this particular model of wired Genesis controller, so I can't really compare it though. Actually the only Genesis controller I have is a wired Hyperkin 6-button which is bigger and seems heavier. They could have put some weights in it. Just sayin'. But the worst thing about this controller has to do with pairing. It should be automatic, and many times it is not. The controller and receiver lose their connection somewhat quickly when power is shut off to the system, then they need to be paired again by holding down buttons on both the dongle and controller. This is not so much of an issue on the PC, where you can switch games and emulators quickly without ever shuttling down the system, but with a console, you typically have to. I found that on the Atari 2600, if you swap out cartridges quickly (within 10 seconds or so) it will usually automatically re-pair itself. It didn't always do that on the Atari 7800 however and I had to fight with the pairing buttons again. Also, with emulators on the PC, you will have to go into the settings and manually configure some of them (for example, in Stella, you will have to set the inputs to move up or down manually). Anyway, for $35, I was expecting a little better. For a comparison, the Blue Lake wireless PS2 controllers, while not Genesis compatible, are half the price, work great with PCs, and always pair automatically.

Great product from RetroBit. This is almost an exact duplicate of the original controller produced by Sega. Obviously, I say that, because some buttons have been added. Aside, the Gloss/Piano finish, sections of the controller, are not quite as dense as the original... And, it is a plastic that scratches really easily, generally speaking. It actually had some subtle scratches on it, straight out of the box. That's why I wish companies would stop using that plastic. Sure, it looks nice... But, you look at it, wrong, and it scratches. That would be my only reason for docking a point off the "Quality Of Material" rating. Other than that, the quality build, is good. Now, aside quality of material and build... This is, hands down, the best Sega Genesis controller, you're going to find, today. It's the most responsive, well built, reliable, Genesis controller on the market, today. The Buttons have just the right amount of click. There's no latency, once so ever. The charge hold, is great. The reciever range is great. The Genesis had very few games that allowed for use of the shoulder buttons. And, unfortunately, there is no button mapping feature, to allow for more use of the shoulder buttons. Aside minor gripes... I highly recommend this controller.

I recently acquired a highly customized Stainless Steel Cased Neo Geo MVS console. It has controller ports for the original Neo Geo, Sega Saturn, Sega Genesis and PlayStation 2. I can't find any Neo Geo wireless controllers and highly doubt they ever existed. I had used wireless PlayStation 2 controllers several years ago but all that I could find available now run on two AAA batteries. I wanted a solution that would work with my port options and be rechargeable. This gave me the choice of the Retro-Bit Sega Genesis (this model) or the Retro-Bit Sega Saturn wireless controllers. Both models are available with or without the extra USB dongle. I decided to buy the model with the extra USB dongle. My reasoning for buying the dual purpose model was I had a lot of doubt this would work on my Neo Geo console. If it didn't work, I could at least use it with a PC. Now that I know it works perfectly, I will probably give the Retro-Bit Sega Saturn model a try. I'm glad I took a chance because now I can play my Neo Geo console with a wireless controller. The button layout isn't exactly where I would put them but very close. The Start button is still the Start button and the Select button adds "coins" to continue. Pressing Start and Select at the same time gets me into my BIOS to make changes there if I want. The same BIOS menu can act as "Pause". All things considered, I think it's about as perfect a solution as I could hope for. I don't own a Sega Genesis but I did use it a bit on PC running retro games with emulators and I find it great for that purpose as well. I have no doubts it would work on an original Sega Genesis and it does make a decent PC controller for emulators. If you need a controller for either, this is a good choice.

Would not connect at all. Followed the instructions to the letter, didn't work. Bought two of them neither one worked AT ALL. I have bought controllers from retro bit before and those also didn't work, this was my last attempt with this company, never again.

I was skeptical at first, but I'm glad I bought this controller. It's amazing and easy to set up as well. Once you set it up it'll automatically connect so no need to reconnect it. Feels just like the original 6 button Sega Genesis controller. The box it comes with is really nice as well and has everything you need. Look under the box for the wires and instruction manual. I've had no issues with it disconnecting well playing and the battery life is good.

Lo compre para la mini y el génesis clásico, en este último todavía no lo pruebo, en la mini responde excelente en ese aspecto es perfecto, el único inconveniente si se puede llamar así es el tamaño un poco pequeño y el peso si te saca un poco de onda, pero nada que interfiera con lo principal que es jugar...

Cumple lo que promete, buen rendimiento de batería, fácil conexión y muy estable, la calidad de la cruceta podría mejorar, CP trol muy ligero pero no en buen sentido, creo que le falta más peso, para hacer un agarre seguro.

Excellente manette, les matériaux utilisés sont vraiment de qualité et le Dpad ainsi que tous les boutons sont très réactifs, c'est l'une des meilleures que j'ai acheté jusqu'à présent. Elle fonctionne aussi bien sur l'ordinateur que sur la Sega mini ou Sega Genesis originale et le tout vient dans un boitier de luxe. De plus elle a les 2 gachettes comme la manette Sega Saturn donc je peux jouer à Shining Force 3 en émulateur sur mon PC ce qui est très apprécié. ;)
