What bulb does it use?

I have two of these lamps, in one I use a standard incandescent bulb in the other I use a smart bulb. I have no issue using either bulb.

Can you use Philips hue bulbs with this?

Any standard base bulb will fit. Why they call it a led???

I have another shade I'd like to use. What is the size of ring within the shade (how many inches across) that sets on the lamp?

the lamp shade fitter attaches under the bulb. The ring size is 12.5''. You can get a bulb clip and attach any shade. Its a great simple lamp. I take it on every set for a practical. I do set design for films.
