25Pcs Screw Extractor Set, Hex Head Multi-Spline Easy Out Bolt Extractor Set, Premium High Carbon Steel Rounded Bolt Remover

Don’t really in the habit of writing review on Amazon but since I bought these based on other reviews I thought I’d chime in. I bought this as I was at my wits end on how to extract some m6 bolts that had been over tighten well above specs and also completely rusted in. The hex slot got stripped and welding a nut on top was not an option. From weeks of trying different things to literally minutes to inserting and using a long breaker bar to get the bolt released. As you can see from the picture the bolt extractor just chewed it’s way into the bolt without any problems. Initially I was concerned how strong the extractors would be but they are STRONG. Then I got concerned how I would ever get it out again from the bolt but a small turn in the other direction end it was out. Not sure I will ever use all the sizes but what drew me to this set was the various sized and the fact I could use a ratchet/breaker bar to release. Top product and value for money

Out of four bolts on my Kawasaki ZZR1200 Tokico brake caliper, two popped out nicely and two just rounded off the hex inside the head. Heat, penetrating oil and a good quality hex-socket hadn't worked, so I bought a set of these as a last line of sanity before the grinder got dusted off! The whole job took less than five minutes in the end. Tap in the screw extractor to get it to bite, then gently begin rotating counterclockwise and you can feel it digging into the screw. Now increase the pressure (24" breaker bar!) and watch it do its magic. I must admit that I was worried the bit would break before the screw came out, but in the end all was fine. Inspection of the extractor afterwards showed no damage at all - still like new. With any screw extractor there is the worry that it'll break off and make the situation worse ... in this case, the tool did the job as needed and as such I'm very happy with the design and quality of them, so much so that I bought the complementing set of bolt extractors. Overall a great addition to the workshop.

On Saturday morning whilst trying to get the brakes on my range Rover changed one of the wheel nuts snapped in half leaving the rest on the stud. I went to few garages without any luck and finally found this kit to try. I was very sceptical but decided to give it a go anyway. Kit arrived next day and I went to try it. Found the piece which would snuggly fit and hammered it in. The attached a 19mm socket and a breaker bar and with all my might snapped the nut loose. The tool dug in and did not budge (like it should). I was totally amazed and impressed by this set. Definitely recommend it to anyone with the same issue 💪

Load of rubbish Not worth the 40 quid Snapped on the try

The product was exactly as expected and from pictures and description provided. Although the the bolt extractor socket does what it says on the time i.e. it grabs the bolt head but as yet not been able to get sufficient purchase on the ratchet to budge the bolt. I have added penetrating oil around the bolt and will leave for a day or possible two before trying again. I wanted to get the bolt out without having to drill the bolt out but this maybe my only option.

I had a rounded 8mm allen bolt on a bicycle crank. Nothing would shift it (hence why it became rounded in the first place). I think water had got inside. I tried hammering in 9mm hex wrenches, hex keys rubber bands all sorts. Got these- they have all sorts of different sizes, a few fitted straight in the 8mm allen holes- no need to drill anything. They then formed a mega grip as I used a wrench to turn them anti clockwise and they force their way into the 8mm allen hole. Straght away the bolt started to unscrew and come out- amazing. Only problem is the remover tool is now so tightly jammed into the bolt (the bolt was beyond repair anyway as it was rounded) that I cannot get the bit out, even using mole grips to hold the bolt and turning the remover tool clockwise with the wrench. I think I am going to have to get access to a bench vice as I want to get my removal tool back out- or try to chop the bolt up. Anyway, when everything else failed these substantial removers did the job- an expensive solution for one job but I'd have been in trouble if I could not get the crank off my electric bike.

Nice set, comes in a very sturdy case. I had a stripped screw in a drum pedal. I drilled into the screw, which would absolutely not turn, inserted the extractor and out is came. No drama. There is not a single mark on the extractor, I'm very impressed and feel the set will come in very handy. I'm not sure about the one star review that snapped his, but I get the impression these would be very tough to break. Must have been hitting it with a hammer or something. Worth every penny.

One 8mm bolt rounded off couldn't move with mole grips..kit turned up 9.30 in the evening and went out with head torch on and removed bolt in less than a minute..very pleased with kit and sure it will come in handy again..
