Decades after Sarah Connor (Linda Hamilton) prevented Judgment Day, a lethal new Terminator is sent to eliminate the future leader of the resistance. In a fight to save mankind, battle-hardened Sarah Connor teams up with an unexpected ally (Arnold Schwarzenegger) and an enhanced super soldier to stop the deadliest Terminator yet. Humanity's fate hangs in the balance in this action-packed thrill ride from Tim Miller, the Director of Deadpool, and Producer James Cameron. Review: Outstanding - Great movie Review: Terminate this - DVD, Good film transfer and decent extras. Movie, just another good example of how Hollywood can make a decent PC action film but no one will go see it. Great or better addition to the franchise and a good end for the T800. Mackenzie Davis is awesome.

Looks outstanding in 4k, and a good dose of terminator action despite the reviews
If you buy this movie, and your TV/setup can do it, absolutely go for 4k. It looks stunning. If you love the terminator series despite the less than great movies post T2, of course you're going to like it. Its more people posing as robots, its rated R so you get a good dose of violence, its action for a couple hours and the swan song for some of these actors. Me, of course nothing tops the T1/2 combo. T1 gives you the terror of a basically mute robot patiently hunting, time travel. This is the stuff dreams are made of. T2 gave you the character development and along with jurassic park a couple years later, the highlights of when practical effects and CG interfaced appropriately. Everything afterwards, is still fun. Not outstanding cinema, but fun enough to put on and do something else while its in the background. Salvation is the one that i had the most hope for, because i've always wanted to see a movie set in that future.. but they set it too far ahead. The weeks after judgement day would have been awesome; endoskeletons ransacking the globe and people fighting them. Anyways. This is the best terminator since T2 in terms of a somewhat logical progression of the story, and I was a lot happier with it than the general public, and will be watching it any time I feel like pulling the terminators off the shelf for a marathon. I'm sure they'll resurrect the property in 8 years when the sting of financial losses has subsided, though I don't think it is necessary.

Hope "they'll be back."
Well, I thought I learned my lesson about listening to critics bombing a movie. I was wrong, I judged this excellent movie by them again and from what others had said. I watched it (finally) from beginning to end without interputions and I'm glad I did. The movie was refreshing to see and the new characters made it exciting all over again. What can you say, Arnold was Arnold in the role made for him. Older but more sure of himself with respects to the part. Linda was still a bad ass with weapons and cocky, lending her experience to the given situations as the movie progressed. Mackenize, Natalia and Diego were refreshing to see and set in Mexico adds to a different lineage to the story. Just to add, there was NO reference to illegal aliens getting free anything, it was just part of the story! ( nor was there any preaching about them staying here.) I liked very much, sometimes it helps an established francise to relocate to bring interest and a fresh perspective back for the fans. Being bi-lingual, I found it easy to follow the scenes in Mexico with Grace, Dani and Diego. Too bad Diego's part was cut short, there could've been room for him in another movie. Dani and Grace have a good rapport going after Grace proves who she is. The trust is built and the story grows and moves along quite well. There is great potential for this Dark Fate team to grow if they decide to pick it up again. I really hope so, it would nice if "they'll be back."

What a terrific movie follow up.
Watch T2 Judgement Day first and then this movie. It fits in perfectly story wise. Make sense. Lots of loud and fast action. Definitely worth every penny!!!

Awesome movie!
I just loved this movie! I see a few negative reviews on it but I do not agree with those negative reviews at all! First off, you have to accept the disappointment in the beginning of the movie where John Connor gets terminated. But only let that be a temporary disappointment. You'll forgive that later in the movie. Schwarzenegger plays the T800 terminator who terminated John Connor. Afterwards the T800 grows a conscience and becomes quite the family man. His learned about humans and the value of human life. He felt guilty about terminating John Connor and quietly tipped off Sarah Connor of the arrival other terminators (though Sarah Connor didn't know where the text messages where coming from). So the relationship between Connor and the T800 is rocky but they had to work together to stop the new terminator who is the most hard to kill terminator to date. Secondly, understand that Terminator: Dark Fate is a fiction movie. The events in the movie are not historical or present day current events. This means the entire concept of terminator is not to be taken seriously as something to over analyze. Its a fiction movie and a damn good one! Last, The movie is deep and the characters play their roles very well. One can walk away with some moral lessons from the movie if they allow their mind to ponder that deep on it. For example, in Terminator II, Sarah Connor stopped Judgement Day. Or did she? Evil always has a way of rising up its ugly head. We can look through real history and see nothing but the rise of dictators throughout the whole of human history. Dictators rise and dictators fall. Then they rise again. Just when you think dictators have been overthrown they rise again. So the new Terminator movie does capture a true reality as far as our own knowledge of real history is concerned. With that said, Sarah Connor only delayed the rise of the machines. But eventually that technology takes on a different form with a new name. With John Connor dead, a new future begins and a new hero emerges. The movie was good and I enjoyed it. It made me think. I loved how the movie ended. Its different from other Terminator movies but that does not mean its inferior. I would at least rate this Terminator movie as the #3 best Terminator besides the first two. I like them all but I really like Dark Fate a little more than the others that followed after T2.

James Cameron’s T3.
I deliberately paid more to get the US version of this 4K UHD instead of the UK version because the US version is a Dolby Vision (the most advanced HDR) one. The video and audio quality is first class. I also love every Terminator movie. I have a full set of original USA MK speaker system (15 units of MK speakers including three S150) plus two MK 350 subwoofers to showcase every 4K UHD movie. By the way, when will movie lovers have a decent version of T2? The current one is a below par version.

In tact, friendly delivery.
The five star rating is for the delivery service, as I got my Blu-Ray in-tact, in one piece and very early. I was expecting on April 2nd, but to my surprise it came the day after I ordered it and I didn't even pay for express delivery. I couldn't believe how fast it got to my door. That's why I ordered two more blu-rays. Five star service... The film on the other hand is not five stars, it's good, it's entertaining and is definitely an action packed sci-fi romp. But this is still a far cry from topping the original two from 1984 and 1991, however it does trump the last couple films of the franchise. I'm really glad to see James Cameron producing and to see the R rating again but it could've been better, but it's a worthy addition to the franchise which a lot of people say should've been terminated a long time ago. But not me. I'm intrigued to what they'll do next.

Cameron doing what he does best, with his Sci Fi baby. Special effects, Action, emotion and no fate.
This is a four and a half star movie.... I've read so many bad reviews about this it's scary. I was a teenager when The terminator came out.... This was a b rated movie at the time and became a classic. I loved it as it was sci fi action. The stars and director at the time said it was a love story, and if you watch it esp Cameron's uncut version of is. T2 was amazing at the time, special effects, action, all the stars back including a ghostly Carl. But it Rewrote the ending of the first one in what it did..... Did we question. No w we loved it for what is was, which was popcorn best, ground-breaking no as Cameron had used the effects in The Abyss, which like the first terminator very few saw at the cibema...... In recent years it kinda got lost for what the original was..... Human emotions, love, sacrifice, Fate, no fate, a will to live, a denial... Etc wrapped up in Sci Fi.. So Terminator Dark Fate.... It brings back Cameron.... Hamilton.... Arnie..... It brings back a love lost, a love for a family/friends, human emotions, fate, no fate, a will to live, a denial.... So tick.. It adds revenge, a ghost from the past, sorrows for loss in a bottle, an anger for sacrifice, a remorse, a will to earn forgiveness without asking for it.... Plus the basic ghostly copy of a younger Sarah model who looses much, and realises she has so much more to loose... In effect this is Cameron.... This is a complex story that clearly continues on From T2... At first did I like the start...hmmmm. But in reflection if T2 happened after T1 then it's only logical that the opening happened, which sets up a human story.. In fact you could argue a role reversal for the two main stayers. It doesn't take the action long... And if we look at the world to day, why can't the T2 ending result in this. The two and a half from the future are brilliant, and it's good to see the medical weakness in one of them. The chases are brilliant as usual. Hamilton is brilliant as a n alcohol fuelled hunter... With visions of grandeur. Arnie is brilliant... Way more lines than T2 and T1 together. But it works...seeing him talk about carpets and draps is so funny. But the nod to Carl is a nice touch by the terminator (and cameron) By the end I was drained, entertained and got everything I have enjoyed from Cameron's action films... If you liked True Lies, Aliens, and T1 and T2, we're around in the 80s.. Then this is for you. If you believe that T2 is untouchable then don't watch this. But I am sure if you're a sci fi fan, an action Fan, or Terminator fan you will love this. Put it on, grab some popcorn and switch off and Get on board Cameron's action train...
