LeapFrog Magic Adventures Globe (Frustration Free Packaging)

This interactive globe was the perfect gift for my 6-year-old to introduce her to the concept of continents, countries, the oceans of the world, etc. There are many different options for settings: you can choose to play scavenger hunt-style games or to just tap on countries and learn their names, what languages are spoken there, etc. I like how one of the games tells you a fact about a country or continent and then asks you a true/false question about it. It has helped to improve my daughter's listening comprehension as well as general knowledge of geography facts. I have also learned a tremendous amount of interesting facts alongside her. The whole family often plays with the globe after dinner, and my daughter and I frequently play one of the games when I am detangling her hair. The screen plays short videos showing the landmarks, animals, etc it is talking about. For example, while it is talking about a capybara and where this animal lives, it will show a picture of a capybara. I can't recommend this globe enough! It would make a great gift.

My 5 & 4 year old absolutely love this globe! It is a toy they come back to over and over again and that keeps their attention for a long time. They really enjoy learning about all of the animals, and my 5 year old really enjoys the quizzes as well. Definitely our most used Christmas present & I have been pleasantly surprised by all of the facts they have learned through playing with it.

Got this globe for my then- 5 year old son and he was captivated! It was his favorite toy for at least 2 years. The interactive pen lets you tour the world in several ways. Great for developing geographic knowledge and curiosity. And 3.5 years later this remains a toy we don't want to part with! :)

This globe has been such a fun and engaging way to introduce learning about the world. As a homeschool mom, I quickly noticed that my child loves using the stylus to tap different countries and instantly hear facts, see videos, and explore cultures, animals, and geography—it really brings everything to life in a way a traditional globe never could. The built-in screen and videos are a huge bonus and keep kids interested longer, especially with the interactive games mixed in. It feels like a great blend of education and entertainment, which is hard to find. One thing to note is that it does go through batteries fairly quickly with regular use, but that’s expected with how interactive it is. Overall, this is a fantastic educational toy that encourages curiosity and learning in a fun, hands-on way. I would definitely recommend it for elementary-aged kids.

Awesome for learning geography. I wish I’d bought it for my 8 year old son sooner. I was inspired to buy this because of World Cup. Only 4 stars because it only rotating is limited so you have to either pick it up to see Africa and South America or duck below it.

This is amazing! I bought this for my 5 year old grandson, and it’s a super-hit! Battery operated (comes with the batteries) and easy to set up. He quickly caught on to using the attached stylus to touch a country on the globe to learn about it. You can set it to animals, facts, scenery, highlights, etc to learn different things about each country. He was enthralled for hours at a time. There is a nice volume control, too. I like that he is learning about the world and the concept of which country is where, to broaden his horizons. It’s relatively portable and lightweight, and every child should have one!

She was learning from this Globe right away. We don't live there but she sounded like she loved it. I think it's good but since she is on a device a lot, I wouldn't recommend this to others. I would urge you to find something that isn't like this device. Find something that is more organic. That's my (the wife ) opinion. Kids need other activities. But, it was age-appropriate and looks good and is interactive and has good volume.

Bought a leap frog globe for our daughter when she was growing up, now years later getting one for our grandchildren, the globe has really improved over the years. When it arrived I wanted to test it to make sure it worked since the birthday was a month away and I can say I found myself really enjoying this globe as an adult. It is so full of interesting information that adults and children would enjoy. I’m sure everyone could learn something from this globe. Highly recommend it. Runs on batteries or you can use the charger that comes with it.

Globe is brightly coloured and attractive to kids. Good thing is I can also plug and play using a portable charger so save on buying batteries! Video is clear and sound is good too. Only downside is the themes provided in the videos are quite limited.
