Can only half the bag be uses for camera and len the other half used as a day bag

There is plenty of space - can carry laptop as well / don’t need lots of bags / wallet / notebook / pens and inhaler / makeup bag (only if you wear it of course) and the camera equipment- Nikon D90 and 4 lenses - remote switch / battery and charger

Can this bag fit a nikon d3 or other pro-sized camera, or standard dslr with battery grips?

Yes. The camera may have to be stored lower in the bag rather than higher up, as the upper part of the bag forms a wedged profile. My EOS 50D, with battery grip, stores safely and securely, along with 4 lenses, with room to spare.

Could I fit an 18-55mm, 75-300mm and a 150-600mm lens together in this?

Yes you should be able to. I have 5 lenses in this bag. And two of them are the 18-55mm and the 75-300mm. The bags interior is easily changed as you can remove compartments so you should also be able to fit the 150-600mm as well. I hope this helps.
