What I needed but consider your use case
I’m a short 5’2”. I was going to the chiropractor with some lower back and hip pain. I started reassessing my posture in places I spend a lot of time and realized that in my Mazda CX-30 that I leaned over excessively to rest my right elbow on the center console when I drive. I didn’t realize how much I actually used arm rests in my car. This is easy to install. As a note, I have one of those pillow-like inserts on the same side of my seat to keep from things falling behind and I left it in. It didn’t fit well but not wanting to drop stuff where those product didn’t cover, I still use the pillow around the seatbelt latch and pulled it up to put this in and rested the remainder of the pillow next to it. Maybe not the best solution but works for now. It doesn’t shift side to side but I think it shifts a tiny bit forward and back. This isn’t a huge deal for me. Being short though, I’m closer to the steering wheel and it takes up most of the space between the chair and steering. Again, I manage just fine but it may not work for others who drive differently. It adjust height level. I have it at its highest setting. My issue then is it doesn’t easily adjust down so if I have to reach for something in the glove, I choose to pull the top part of the rest with the bars completely out of the base to reach across the car. I keep my coffee stamp cards in there and the first time I was annoyed but then I just moved them to the arm rest compartment. The actual rest is maybe a tad more comfy than a normal stock one and wider which is a plus. It matches my interior loosely and that’s really all I need. I knew what I was getting and got it. To improve on this product, I’d maybe add a quick adjust mechanism on the top part to make it more easy to adjust on the fly. Additionally, an add-on item that covers the entire side of the seat by the belt because for some to reasonably have to decide between this or a side seat keeper to prevent items from falling, this does not do the trick on its own. So a similar item made to compliment this. Also, make the latch for the compartment more user friendly rather than pry open.

Awesome!!!
I absolutely LOVE it!!!! I do a fair amount of driving and I miss the arm rests that were in my 2001 suburban. I just paid 90k for new sierra 2500 and no armrests! Smdh! This little device provided the support I needed on a 5 hour drive while hauling a camper. Sooooo much easier than trying to roll a pillow and wedge it under my arm for support. The center console on my truck is a bit high so I can’t open the top/storage compartment easily but that is not an issue in my Subaru Outback and a small negative when compared to the relief in shoulder and neck cramps that I get without the arm support

Works but is not a tight fit.
I'll keep the product bc it's better than nothing at all. It's very wobbly. It's hard to now fasten my seatbelt. If someone else drives the car and moves the seat, they need to remove the arm rest. Overall...it's ok but I was expecting more.

Not worth the money
The product initially was decent. Felt slightly chintzy but I figured as long as it served its purpose, oh well. But then after two months of use (February until April), the bars started to slide through, as the clips to hold the bars in place became stuck closed in place. Then, one of the housings where the bar meets the armrest broke. I’ve since duct-taped the bar in place and wedged the clips open on the sides, since I was no longer able to return the item. This hasn’t lasted either. The product is trash. No where worth $40.

Great product, until it wasn't...then redeemed
1/25/2022 update. I originally gave this product 3 stars, but CDEFG's customer service exceeded my expectations and replaced my broken armrest. For that, I am bumping my 3-star rating up to 5-stars. There is nothing to indicate that the issue I encountered was systemic and may have just been an isolated incident. In any case, I am please overall with my experience with CDEFG's armrest. My original post is as follows: This armrest was comfortable, fit nicely in my vehicle and did all that I expected. However, I am going to give this 3-stars. After six months of use, the spring mechanism failed in one of the adjustment slots (see 2nd picture). When the button is NOT depressed, the catch inside should be out to grab the arm rest shaft (1st picture shows the catch fully extended) That is not the case with mine. This cause one side of the armrest to fall down and ultimately caused a crack in the armrest itself (see 3rd picture). Please keep in mind, it could be just mine that had this issue and not a common problem. All in all, I would have given this 5-stars if it had maintained its structural integrity for more than six months. At the $40 price point, I would have expected more.

Voted best road trip purchase of 2021!
I purchased this for a long road trip. I am 5'1", and have my seat up too far to be able to utlize the center arm rest in my 2012 Honda Pilot. I usually have to use a small pillow to support my arm during long trips, but thought this might be safer. I LOVE THIS PRODUCT. It is adjustable in its' height, it is able to slide forward and back, depending on where I'm needing support, and the storage area was perfect for change, toll $, pens, or whatever! Since it can be moved forward and back, it's not in the way of my seatbelt, or my shifter. My cars' interior is black, so the black one looks like part of the original interior. What a simple idea, which makes a HUGE difference in my comfort when I'm cruisin' down the highway (or now that I'm home again, to the grocry store). I recommend this car gadget. I'll never take it out of my car (but if Idid, it would be so easy to pull out, and then pop back in again!!) Cool beans!

Idea good but falls apart
It is perfect for me comfort wise. But one of the extender arms fell out of the bottom and I still need to locate it under the seats :( Update - found and lost repeatedly. There is not a way to lock the support arms. When it works it is great. Move it a little and support piece drops out. Wish I could get my money back :(

Works exactly as advertised.
Works as well as I hoped it would; able to rest my forearm as I am driving. Easily adjustable to suit personal needs. Recommend.

Good and useful product!
The armrest fit nicely in my Mitsubishi RVR 2025. It feels solid and aligns well without vehicle’s console and steering wheel. Can’t wait to go on a road trip to try it on a long run. I like the build quality and materials.
