K&N Engine Air Filter: Reusable, Clean Every 75,000 Miles, Washable, Premium, Replacement Car Air Filter: Compatible with 2013-2016 Dodge Dart, 33-2491

I had the opportunity to serve with a person that worked for K&N. After talking with him about the testing process. I’m confident with years of using this filter in every car I drive. The performance and response is measurably noticed. Buy the cleaner and oil kit and keep this filter for years! The dirtier it gets the better it works

I will buy one again in my next car. Better engine intake sound, more instant response, more airflow, better mpg, what’s not to like? They’re easy to clean. They’re much better than your standard paper air filter.

I ordered this for my 2013 Dart 2.0, it came in and was too big to replace the original air cleaner. I double checkd the part number, 33-2491 is the correct number for the application, it is the part I ordered, and it is the part number on the box. I then looked at the specs and the Dart filter is 7.6 by 7.4 inches square with a corner cut off. The part in the box has part number 33-3051 imprinted in the rubber seal. I looked that up on the K&N website and that number is 10.5 by 10.25 inches square with a corner cut off and fits several BMW models. I used the excellent Amazon return policy, sent the part back, received a new part, opened the box up, and again, the wrong filter is in the box. just like before, the part number on the box is 33-2491 and the part in the box is 33-3015. Monday, 11 June 18, I will contact K&N and let them know what the problem is. I give this 3 stars even though I have yet to get a correct part because Amazon initially took care of the problem (or at least tried to), I suspect a batch of wrong filters got put in the box at the factory. I am only writing this review so you know you may get a wrong part. I will update when something changes. UPDATE: I contacted K&N, they sent me the correct filter. It fit perfectly and as the other revies state the car does seem to breath better. I have been using K&N filters for years on everything from dirt track cars to my motorcycle, this and the bike are the most noticable changes I have felt. I assume it's because small engines respond better to more air.

This was a pretty straight-forward install. The air filter was packaged in a K&N box (like you would buy directly from K&N or AutoZone) which was covered in shipping paper and contained within an Amazon box. Boxes and the air filter were spotless and in excellent shape when it was delivered to my door (two days early!). The install was as straightforward as it gets - unscrew the two screws that hold the upper portion of the Air Box, then remove the hose clamp / hose that runs into the engine. Pull the lid off, take out the old filter, slap the new air filter in, screw everything back on nice and tight (including the hose clamp), and wah-lah. I noticed my Dart was a little more audible on start up as well as when in motion. It's easier to hear the turbo blow-off valve as well. If you really pay attention to how the car accelerates and performs, you will notice a nice little bump in the "fun-to-drive" meter. This was well worth the price in my opinion.

Didn't want to go with a regular cold air intake setup on the Dart for two reasons: With a short pipe setup it would pick up too much under-hood heat from the turbo. With the long pipe setup it would put the filter out where it would be prone to picking up too much moisture (and would be a real pain to install and service). This was a good compromise. Update 6/6/2013 - After installation I began to have issues with the car stalling out when coming to a stop. Also threw an error code about the manifold air pressure sensor and the barometric air pressure not playing nice with each other. Brought it to the dealer who changed the MAP sensor, cleared the code, took it for a test drive where it threw the same error code again. They opened a case with Chrysler who had no clue, either. They asked me to pick up the car and drive it for a couple of days so that they could download the data to send to Chrysler. On the way home it stalled out twice while coming to a stop at red lights. After thinking about it I surmised that the K & N may be flowing too much air and the computer wasn't compensating with additional fuel leading to a lean condition at low RPMs creating the stall conditions. I put the stock filter back in, went through three drive cycles and the error light and problem went away. I contacted K & N's customer service department and they were absolutely great! I explained the condition, what I did to remedy it and they immediately asked for the filter back so that they could send it to their R & D department for review. I was asked to include a copy of my Amazon receipt so that they could send me a refund, emailed me a UPS shipping label for the return and assured me that if there was a design problem or if the filter that I was returning was defective that they would send me a replacement free of charge. It's hard to knock a company that takes customer service that seriously - I salute you, K & N. I love K & N products - have them on all of my vehicles - my 10 Nitro and 12 Challenger R/T Classic absolutely love K & N products but my 13 1.4 turbo Dart not so much... Will keep you posted on the resolution.

As described and fit perfectly

Product arrived ontime and the package included everything in the description. Installation was easy and the exact fit! I haven't had a chance to really test drive my car and compare performance but when I started the car after my Installation, everything sound good and quite.. well beside the purring of my 2.4 muliti air kitty lol

I have them on all of our 5 vehicles, never have a vehicle without one, it improves performance and saves you a ton of money so unless your rich keep buying a paper filter every 3k miles and sacrifice hp and gas mileage. Gained a few mpg already, from 30-35 vs 25-28. Big difference and I sure the heck don't drive slow. American cars can now get the mpg of the imports and have double or more hp:) American or nothing.

After 50k mileage! Done replacing old one, and got a best one! I recieve this item 1 day early :)
