Invaluable
Timeless treasure that I share with my sponsees. Triage for early recovery. Don't read it cover to cover, find what's ailing you and read the brief suggestions to help you get through it sober. This was super helpful when I was first getting sober. I highly recommend this invaluable book. And yes, it's AA approved literature.

A must have book for anyone who wants to quit alcohol!
"Living Sober" is a must-read for anyone committed to sobriety. It's not just a book; it's a companion that offers wisdom, encouragement, and practical guidance. While it might not suit those looking for a broader approach to addiction recovery, for those within or interested in the AA community, it's invaluable.Would I Recommend It?Absolutely. For anyone exploring sobriety or wanting to strengthen their sober lifestyle, this book is a treasure trove of practical advice and supportive philosophy.

Great Book to Start with
This book is so much better than the Big Book when you first start sobriety. It's straight forward and very easy to get through!

Good beginners/newcomers book
Classic! This is a great book for beginners/newcomers and those afraid of the GOD thing. Itโs a very practical introduction to living sober which can be very scary at the beginning. It was leant to me when I first got sober a little over a year ago and I got a lot out of it. I just sent my mom a copy who just got her 30 day chip! I donโt think thereโs any mention of the god thing so as not scare away the newcomer. For some of us, that has to grow on you. It did for me! Thank god! ๐

Great
A good supplement to the Big Book. Practical, common sense tips to help one stay sober. AA approved.

Thank goodness, No God
As the ONLY official AA book that doesn't mention god, this is the only one that really complies with the AA claim to be non-religious. Therefore it is doubly excellent for atheists and agnostics who want to give up drink and it has helped unknown thousands of newcomers through the early withdrawal stage. What a pity there is no other official AA book for atheists and agnostics put off by the god stuff to cover the later stages - going through the steps. Luckily there are excellent complements in this respect like An Atheists Unofficial Guide to AA - for Newcomers: 2 by Vince Hawkins.
