Great Product from Fantronix
What a difference this extractor has made in the shower room. Having messed about with 4" "high powered " fans and then having to wipe off mould on the ceiling. Installing this powerful 6" fan with a reducer to 4" means no more mould. Opening the shower door no longer steams up the mirror it's so good. Thoroughly recommend this if your having mould issues

Great fan, It was wired to the slow speed by default though.
I always buy Fantronix fans as their quality and performance is much better than other brands. This unit with a pre wired mains flex however was wired to the low speed winding instead of the high speed winding internally (This may be good for some but isn't great if you want its real performance), also no ferrules were used, just bare stranded wire into the terminal blocks which is in breach of CE and UKCA certification. It was easy enough to crimp some ferrules onto the live and neutral wires under the cover, White is Neutral, black(HighSpeed on my unit) or red(LowSpeed on my unit) are the 2 speed windings, connect live to just one of these to select the speed you wish to use. A leading edge dimmer / speed controller can be used to vary the speed of the fan (external ones are available with a plug socket on), I modified my unit by using a BG Electrical DM400AP Leading edge dimmer and drilled a hole in the side of the case so I could switch between the low speed and high speed windings and also vary the speed of the fan too (see the attached image). I have included a video to demonstrate the massive amount of airflow this unit can provide in the high speed setting.

Simple to replace
I have two units installed in the loft, one service a bathroom and the other serving a shower room. This replacement is more quiet than the original and is easy to replace. Both systems have been running for 14 years. The first system has been faultless and the second system fan required replacement due to heavy usage. Highly recommended fans.

Well worth the buy
Really good product does exactly what I wanted today I had a slight issue after having it about eight or nine months but I got in contact the company they should’ve refund and I bought a replacement one and that one has lasted really well so far and they also gave me a £5 discount when I bought another one definitely worth a buy

Great for 6 months
I bought this to extract air from my fish shed (shed with 20 aquariums). It worked so well for months, up until it started making high pitched screeching noises and eventually stopped working completely. I proceeded to clean it and added some lubricant to the impeller shaft area. It started working again and It quietened down for a few days, but then the noise came back and it died again. It was a great piece of equipment for a few months...until it became a fire hazard.

Good strong sturdy expel air.
Plug and play. Easy to setup in the loft for ventilation. Very quiet. Good air flow. Great price for a well built sturdy expel air. Thoroughly recommend.

Gives decent airflow to not much noise
Wanted to get rid of noisy fan in bathroom and add vent in second bathroom that didn't have it. Put this thing in the attic and connected a t-piece to in-flow. Dragged two tubes to each bathroom ceiling and just put a simple grill. Works as intended. Not super suction but strong enough to hold a paper to the ceiling vent in both bathrooms. Clears out any moisture fairly fast. And definitely more quiet than having ceiling fan in bathroom Tip: Plugged it in in attic to a smart plug. So I can tell Siri to turn on fan and use smart app to create timers
