This belly cast kit was perfect ! Took only about 30-40 mins to complete! At first I was skeptical, but the quality and material of the kit was 10/10! It’s quite messy but it comes with everything you need!

Had fun doing this! I purchased for my son, I had always wanted to do one and being my last and final pregnancy I decided to try it! I did it the night before we had him, my plan is to take some pictures of him in! The quality is great!

The cast kit was easy to use! Step 1: cut the strips - large strips for the main part of your belly, medium strips for the top and bottom of your belly and short strips for your breasts (I’m 5’ tall, 33 weeks pregnant, 168 LBs and had 1.5 rolls left over if that helps) Step 2: pour warm water in a medium to large size container and lay out the plastic sheet on the ground Step 3: VASELINE THE AREAS YOU'LL BE COVERING BEFORE APPLICATION!!! STEP 4: sit somewhere comfortable - you’ll be there for about an hour! start with putting strips on the belly then work your way up to your boobs. Entire process takes about 1hr & 10min including cutting the strips and drying on your body before it’s hard enough to take it off STEP 5: let dry for 24 hours STEP 6: cut, trim, sand it down to your liking STEP 7: decorate if you choose to and enjoy!

Kit comes with everything you need. I'm not a small woman, but there was more then enough plaster gauze to do my belly and breast. We used 4 of the 5 rolls while making and will use the last for the final touches after it dries. The project is messy but very much worth it. Clean up was fairly easy. The vaseline comes off best with Dawn dish liquid. I wore a bra while doing for a better breast shape as I'm very big breasted. Standing will give you the best belly shape but be prepared because standing that long when so far pregnant is tough! My husband did the cast while my oldest took pictures. Completed mine at 35 weeks.

The water need to be warm. If it gets cold, refresh the water. The plaster gets much smoother and sticks much better with warm water. The edges will be flimsy. The solution to this is going farther back than you need to with the ends then trimming off the excess before it’s dry. That’s what we did, and it worked fine. You can also reinforced the edges with extra strips once it’s dry. I didn’t have any problems with ours not drying or losing it’s shape. It was starting to dry before we were even done adding layers. It says to have four overlapping layers, which we did, so the structure is thick and strong. However, we let it dry on a ball so it wouldn’t lose its shape while setting. I just grabbed one of our kids’ balls that was the right size, cut off some of the tarp, and propped it up. No issues with it falling apart, staying wet, losing its shape, not wanting to stick to me, or anything like that— even with the very thick layer of lubricant I used. That doesn’t mean others didn’t get a defective set, but ours was totally fine. It took nowhere near two hours, though. Start to finish, it was within half an hour. I started a show on Netflix when we opened the kit and stopped it when I peeled the cast off and left to shower, so I’m sure. Haha.

Very easy to use and came out great! Here's a few tips I learned in the process... 1. Less water will make it dry quicker. 2. If you choose to do breasts and want more support, you can use a bra, saran wrap, or lift your hands above your arms (just work quickly if you this method). Your bra can be washed but might not be quite the same so don't use your favorite one. 3. Dont put plaster water down the drain. If it gets on your clothes, let it dry and pick most of it off before washing. 4. Save a roll (or more) of the plaster gauze. After 1 day of letting it dry, lightly sand, trim edges, and do touch ups. You can see where it is very thin by holding it up to the light and also by feeling where it is less sturdy. Also cut some strips the long way for the edges of the cast. This is important!! 5. For tight areas like under the breasts, cut strips in half the long way. Have fun!!

I used this set to make a belly cast in my second pregnancy and it was so fun! Pretty easy to use but you should definitely have someone do it for you. My husband was doing the casting part and sitting still for so long was quite hard for me. But that might be because my husband is a perfectionist and took forever lol. Definitely enough material, we also had some left over. It turned out beautifully and my husband came up with the idea to turn it into a light! So stunning and quite an eye catcher!

I have used this for both my pregnancies and I love the results each time. It's so easy to do and it comes with everything that you could need. It's a bit messy but the tarp included in the box saved a huge clean up. It gets hard quick which is a plus when standing when your heavily pregnant but you gotta work fast.
