๐ Elevate your automation game with pinpoint PIR precision!
The DAOKI 5PACK IR Human Sensor AM312 is a mini pyroelectric PIR motion detector module designed for ultra-low power operation (under 0.1mA) and compact embedded use (12x25mm). Operating between 2.7V and 12V, it features a 100ยฐ sensing cone with a 3-5 meter range and smart repeat triggering that extends output during continuous motion. Ideal for Arduino projects, security systems, and industrial automation, it comes with 5 sensors and a 15-pin Dupont wire for quick setup.

PIR's for any project
Great use for any project. I use these to know when my mail was delivered. This PIR detects the mailman and sends me a text to my phone along with a picture of my mail. Additionally with a ESP32 and Single 18650 battery cell in a 3d printed box. The ESP32 goes into deep sleep between messages and the PIR wakes it up. Just one of many uses for these devices.

All it needs is an actual data sheet from the manufacturer.
This compact pir module is working perfectly for the physical intrusion detection, alert, and interaction system I am building for a server room. I am currently running it at 5v. It would be nice to have a data sheet so I can determine the effect of modifying the voltages and amps supplied to the module. I have posted a picture of the arduino sketch I am using to determine how long the output pin remains high after detecting movement. If you can see the picture, feel free to use the code. Change the pin to the one you are using.

Works fine, though you may need spares
I'm using these with ESPHome for some custom motion sensors I'm building. One was DOA straight out of the bag and ended up smoking when connected to 5v, but the next two were fine. It's worth noting you can't calibrate these, which may be an issue depending on the application, and it's possible the 90ยฐ angled pins might not be ideal. If you get this, be sure you have a spare or two for cases like these.

Surprised at how well they wor.
These work like quality alarm sensors. All 5 work fine. Hold time after motion about 3 seconds on average. No false alarms in my experience either. That was a pleasant surprise.

So far..
Only tested 1 so far. Got it working in under 5 minutes using ESPHome.

Excellent product when it works, but the failure rate is gigantic.
I bought these mini PIRs a long time ago, but didn't really need them until now. Since they only required about 13 uA (when I first measured them), they were very suitable for short distances and battery operation. However, it turns out that some of them starts to require several mA after a short time, which is not really grate for battery operation. Of the 5, 2 are still left and continue to work at 13 uA and one unit stopped working at all after just a few minutes. The two remaining units work perfectly. After all, when it works, it's a great product, but 2 working units for $10 is a bit much.

Works great.
Excellent and reliable sensor. Works perfectly just as described. So far no cons.

Garbage don't waste your time.
Poor quality. Inconsistent wouldn't always trigger when I walked directly towards the sensor. Definitely can't depend on this sensor to use in my circuits in an emergency. Don't waste your time or money on these.
