Great performance at a great price!
This review is for the intel i5, 8gb, version with the 1660ti nvidia card. I got this PC specifically for setting up a virtual lab where I could have several virtual machines running at the same time. Ive had it for two weeks now and it has performed perfectly! One thing to note, 8gb of ram is likely not enough if youre going to be gaming or running VMware often like I am. So i added a stick of Crucial 2666 8gb ddr4 ram ($30) and i really couldnt be happier with the performance im getting now. The extra ram was recognized immediately, and without the need for me to do anything other than pop it in and turn it on. Windows 10 is a welcome improvement over the previous iterations, and the ssd in this bad boy allows it to boot up in a matter of seconds. Runs fairly quiet, and stays cool. Ships with a basic keyboard and mouse which do their job. For those complaining about this PC....its a $550 computer!!!...you need to manage your expectations. And honestly, for this price it has far exceeded mine. Youd be hardpressed to build your own PC using these same components for any cheaper. The graphic card alone runs $200!

Great Value
I purchased the refurbished option and it has been great. I'm sure there are better gaming PC options out there but this does everything I want it to do: VR Skyrim, rocket league, Destiny, I've played unreal engine games, and really every game I've tried has played great with excellent graphics. This is my first PC and I'm stoked with how little I paid and how much value I have. I did upgrade my ram as soon as the PC came in, I added a "crucial ram 8 GB DDR4". I haven't upgraded the hard drive like some others have and it's been fine, I'm sure it would only help in doing so though. Definitely recommend, good luck finding better value at such a low price or even slightly higher.

Great starter PC
I bought this PC 4 years ago after a ton of back and forth on building my own or not. I wanted to play League of Legends, after my old laptop broke years before my purchase. This PC was packaged and shipped well. Set up was incredibly easy. Turned it on and could barely notice it was on. Very quiet. Not hot. This thing has been perfect for me and everything I could have wanted. Itโs an amazing starter PC for someone wanting to learn keyboard and mouse. The only reason I say starter PC is because the storage is limited. You could easily upgrade this is you wanted though.

Great affordable option for gaming, but beware of BIOS problems
I bought this desktop for gaming back around springtime 2020. When I first got it, it worked perfectly for the first few months. I chose it because it was the cheapest desktop I could find at the time with a 1660TI and USB-C. A few months in I got the blue screen of death and it was stuck in a booting loop. The specific error was "K-Mode Exception Not Handled" or something like that. After tons of troubleshooting and trying a handful of different solutions nothing worked. It sat on my shelf for almost the entire summer. Eventually a friend helped me fix it, the problem was a BIOS update that was incompatible with Windows 10 forcing the error. The only solution was to download a model-specific BIOS update from HP's support website onto a separate flashdrive, start up the PC, enter the BIOS settings upon booting before the error would occur, and manually update the BIOS from the flashdrive. Worked like a charm and it's been running smoothly ever since. Apparently this BIOS error affected a handful of models, this one obviously included. Aside from that one very stressful problem, the PC itself is great and runs all the games I want to play on high/ultra settings at 60 fps, 1920x1080 resolution. I even upgraded the RAM to 16GB and installed a secondary 1TB SSD. So all in all it's a great PC, just be wary of the BIOS issue.

Needs hard drive space
VR Ready HP Pavilion Gaming PC Desktop Computer, Intel Core i5-9400F, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660Ti So I wanna start by again saying it needs hard drive space ... I got a 30 $ usp plug in and it works awesome runs ever game play with out issues arma 3 on ultra might chop just a little I normally play on high for best fps any thing less will ofc run better . downloads are fast has built in wifi picks up 5g which is also nice . comes with all the parts it has listed and came super fast like 5 days or so . havnt had any heat issues and its kinda in a tight space . value for money ever one is gonna say you can built it for cheaper โฆ. but I don't build computers so to me this was well wroth it I didn't use any tech support it wasn't need

Not Bad for $600
first off you can not over clock the GPU with MSI afterburner or any other software that i know of. but for less the 600 you get a very capable gaming PC. i play Escape from Tarkov around 90-110 FPS 1080P with some dips to 80 on highest setting. i did add 8GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD. i have seen some reviews that talk about the 400W power supply not being big enough they are wrong, the i5 9400F only takes 65W and the 1660 TI is 120W. i have never seen the PC pull more then 226W when gaming. yes the MOBO is not the best but it does have a H370 chip set. if your looking for a cheap good PC to game on this is the one.

Amazing Deal for a mid-level, entry gaming PC
Wow! I challenge you to find a build with an i5 and a GTX 1660ti at this price anywhere else. What a deal! I applied any bios flash/firmware updates from HP for this model and installed all windows updates with no issues. I also swapped the ram for 16gb of corsair RAM ($69.99) and swapped the NVMe SSD for a Corsair 1Tb for ($129.99) and everything went smoothly. This was a gift for my son and we just finished Farcry 5 in coop at 4K with very respectable FPS. So, if you're looking for the best bang for your buck for a mid-level entry gaming PC which can handle high to ultra settings in most games on a budget, look no further. Thanks Amazon!

Blew me away
This computer performs way better than I anticipated. I bought it for my wife as a starter pc and when it got here, obviously I wanted to benchmark it. The first game that came to mind was Ark: Survival Evolved, which is a VERY taxing game. I booted up the game after downloading. Loaded into a world and it ran smoother than a butter on a skillet. I didnโt have to turn down graphics settings AT ALL and it was running at a consistent 60 FPS (due to frame lockage) I definitely recommend this amazing computer.
