Hand Dye - Intense Black 12

It worked as I had hoped. I dyed an old grey cotton button down shirt that I bought at the Gap years ago. It turned out well and was easy to use. I am not sure how long the color will last but it seemed to do a good job. It looks good so far.

This stuff is crazy, bright, dense pigment.

This gives a good vivid orange color to my cotton clothes, which forms a permanent that doesn't wash away if done correctly. Unfortunately, the instructions that come with the dye don't say that, to get that permanent color, you need to first soak the fabric in a solution of soda ash, also called sodium carbonate. That alters the chemistry of the surface of the cotton, which enables it to form a permanent bond with the dye. I don't know why they don't mention this on the package. Before I learned about soaking in soda ash, the color would slowly wash away over time.

It dyed my white shorts, pink not deep violet!

After reading it may not work on certain fabrics I was so happy when my favorite black top that got bleach stains was restored like new. I used less water to concentrate and same salt that came in instructions. Wish I knew about this sooner.

I am pretty disappointed in the Dysan Dye. I ordered "vivid purple" and the result was pale pastel lilac. I used it as directed, for 1 dress, which was bleached (white) linen. It was untreated, prewashed, and I used hot water and salt as directed. I left it in for twice the recommended time, and then rinsed in cold water. When I dried it, it was a pastel violet. I bought this to begin with because the dye I bought from RIT was pastel, and I do not want any more pastels. In fact, I did not want pastel to begin with, and am disappointe3d that this also came out pale. It is the ideal fabric in terms of taking a dye, and it was used as directed, and not used to dye a large amount of clothing, just 1 short, sleeveless sun dress. I am now loking for a third brand of dye and if it works will be redying the clothing I dyed with the RIT.. and with this. At least it is not white any more, but the color is not much darker.. If you want a pale lilac, this is the dye to buy. (I didn't).

Les instructions au dos du sachet sont faciles à suivre (il faut bien laver le tissu après l'avoir teint comme c'est indiqué, mais aussi bien l'essorer !). La couleur obtenue peut aller du orange très vif (comme celui d'un poisson rouge ou ... d'une orange !) à des oranges très pâles selon le temps pendant lequel votre tissu baignera dans la teinture. Il est aussi possible de réaliser des dégradés ! Les teintures Dylon sont les seules que j'utilise et j'en suis assez satisfaite pour ne pas me tourner vers d'autres marques.

Es war einfach anzuwenden und hat für eine große Kochschürze ausgereicht.

I ordered Flamingo Pink but got Passion Pink. I don't know if they just changed the name or if it's the wrong colour altogether? I needed bright pink dye, so here's hoping this works.

We used it for tie dye and it worked very well.
