Learn to swim with this!!
This learn-to-swim inflatable tube/vest is made with a durable, high-quality nylon-like material that feels well made and sturdy. I really like the secure design, especially the Velcro-fastened strap between the legs, which helps keep the vest in place while little ones are in the water. I do recommend following the suggested weight limit of up to 35 lbs so it performs as intended and provides the best fit and support. My granddaughter is just learning to swim, and she absolutely loves wearing it. It has helped her feel more confident and comfortable in the water while still allowing her to move around and practice. Overall, it’s a great option for beginner swimmers and a quality product that I would definitely recommend.

Worked well
I'm very pleased with this item I ordered it for my 3-year-old nephew he loves to swim in my pool. I would never let him get in with any flotation device without supervision but as long as I'm right there with him everything's fine

Works Great, but not for independent play for non swimming child.
This works really well! But of course, this is not something you could just put a baby or toddler in and leave them to "swim" on their own with. And I would NEVER leave or even take my hands off our 18 month old in this swim tube. Which seems like a no brainer, who would leave a child unattended in a pool. But, what I mean is I wouldn't turn my back or take my hands off her for a second with this as her floatation device. Where as I am happy to let my 5 year old strap on a real life jacket and jump in the pool on his whim. This swim tube keeps her buoyant and lets her have some freedom, as she isn't being held constantly right on our hip in the water. But it is still easy for her to tip forward or back with no way to right herself. In fact if you let go of this tube, that is really what it wants to do as soon as she starts moving around…either tip her on to her belly or her back. As far as really teaching her to swim, I think this would hinder that process more than help it, as it restricts the movement needed to learn to swim too much. So for bobbing around in the pool with mom and dad with hands on her, this is great. Gives her enough freedom to feel like she is really in the water (not just floating on top). It is a good transition piece of swim gear between baby floatation devices and complete independent swimming. She LOVES it and it's clearly comfortable for her! And it does stay on very nicely! Also the Rubber tube is industrial strength…seriously like tractor tire inner tube! Great Quality product for sure! Just don't think this is like a life jacket, or something that is going to allow independent swimming for a child that does not know how to swim yet. I would absolutely be strapping a real life jacket on her if I was to have her out of the pool and just walking around if she was near the pool at all. It is not created to be a safety device for a child should they have it on and fall into water. Over all great product. Would definitely buy again!

Only swimming device my toddler loves and can use alone without help
We purchased this almost a year ago for our 2 yr old son (36" & 30#). He LOVED it from the first moment he jumped in the pool with it. The first time he needed some assistance as my husband did not inflate the tube enough, which caused him to sink a bit and have small balance issues. However, the second time (fully inflated) my son could perfectly balance in the pool without tipping forward, backward, or side ways. It gave him complete freedom and we loved it! He even started to jump into the pool with it after using it for an hour and it kept him mostly on top of the water (I think he liked being slightly dunked). We recommended it to my brother who bought it for my 2 yr old neice (32" & 25#), who just loves it at well! Not a problem at all. However, after almost a year with slight use (2x a month max), our tube began to leak and would not hold our son up in the water. We tried using the pool's swimming vest, but he HATED it; he kept flipping onto his back. So we purhcased one of those swim suits with the foam inserts. He HATES that too and cannot balance himself, although I'm sure in another year it will get lots of use. Wanting our son to keep enjoying the pool without being latched on to mom/dad, I found the location of the leak in the tube and made a small hole in the bottom seam and found that the tube had started to dry rot or something (cracked). We used some of that Green Slime Tire Repair stuff and I ducked taped the damaged area and sewed up my hole (can barely see it). It's completely holding air again! So I totally recommend this product as the first step for your little swimmers. If it does get a leak, just use some of that tire repair slime (non-toxic) and its back good as new. I have no idea how to prevent the tube damage in the first place though. We dried it out in the garage after every use and deflated it. Ah well!

It’s held together with Velcro-unsafe!!
This was a 5, until the “suit” bottom came apart. It’s Velcro. Don’t ask why because it makes zero sense. The child jumps in and the Velcro comes apart and the child falls out.

Did not fit 2-yr old
I bought this because back in the mid 1980's i had something very similar for my son and i thought it would be good for my 2yr-old grandson. i bought the size 3-6 because my grandson is the size of a 4yr-old. The suit is not long enough to fit him. the gusset is tight around his crotch and it is a little difficult to get on over his head. we tried it even though he was a little uncomfortable. in the water it worked well enough but we ended up going back to his puddle jumper because he didn't like the piece between his legs. Also, the inner tube is plastic instead of the rubber inner tube from the 1980's model so i don't know how long that would have lasted. i may give this to a friend who can try it on her little granddaughter. i had high hopes for it since it was such a great tool in training my son. i give it a 3.

Good Option for Toddler
We tried several different options our 22 month daughter old this summer and the learn to swim tube was by far the best. The infant life vest flipped her over on her back, the seated infant float we had from the prior summer was too constricting, the swim vest we used with our preschooler didn't give her the stability she needed, and she pulled off arm band floaties. The tube swim trainer was great in that it kept her relatively upright and at the same time allowed her to lean forward a bit and kick her way all over the pool. After a few outings with the tube she was moving herself around independently and having a blast. Unlike the super stable Swimways baby float, the tube does require the child to be able to balance themselves a little (she tipped her face into the water at first), but it is definitely more stable than a Power Swmr vest. She's about 28 lbs and the tube was a little big, but not terribly so. I can't imagine using it with a kid much over 3 unless they were very petite. No problems with leaks so far.

Works as a swimming tool
We had these when our children were young and learning to swim and loved them. We recently purchased one for our 20 month grand child to try to build confidence in the pool. They were tentative at first, but caught are quickly and love to get in the pool with this over a life jacket or a floats. We ended up purchasing another one for another grandchild after such good success with the first. This is good quality material and the only complaint I have is there the strap on the bottom isn’t one piece. There is Velcro. It’s a cool idea to put there for the idea that it can move for different sizes of children using it. I see why they did it for that reason, but I would prefer one piece. I can always sew it together in the future. The Velcro seems to be strong enough that it won’t pull apart during swimming. It fits fine and is easy enough to get on and off. We haven’t had any issues with air leakage. It inflates easily.
