I spend a lot of time on Zoom these days.. Most of the time, I use my AirPods so I can walk around/shoot hoops/clean a fish but occasionally they start cutting out and it always happens at the worst possible time. The last time I resolved to come up with a backup plan and this cord was the centerpiece of said plan. So far, it seems pretty durable. When the cats get bored, they'll stroll through the house looking for the most expensive thing that'll fit in their mouths and then destroy it (RIP Shure 535s). They've found this cable and gave it a couple of test bites. Maybe the metal connectors felt like too much for their little kitty teeth.. I don't know.. But the cable survived without damage. Sound quality.. what can I say.. The mic works. The headphones work. People can hear me and I can hear them. It performed exactly as expected. For gaming? The adapter is like 12" long, so the latency added shouldn't be too bad. The signal loss from the introduction of two additional connectors to the chain should not change the performance characteristics in a noticeable way. </sarcasm> for the sarcasm impaired. Overall, I'm pleased with this little adapter. Affordable and sturdy.

I purchased this cable to replace my Steelseries Arctis Nova Dual 3.5mm Y-adapter cable since it had become damaged and the sound from my left ear cup was no longer coming through. I usually buy a replacement through the steelseries website but the delivery time can be longer than I have the patience to wait so I decided to purchase this one off Amazon. I figured the cost was worth the risk of it not working but it is working perfectly. I just had to be sure I was plugging the separate headset and mic cables into the correct spots on my computer then I plugged in my Arctis Nova 7x cable into the adapter and it worked instantly. The construction seems to be good but this is a day 1 review. I'll try to remember to post an update a few months from now. The cord is 1 foot long so it's definitely shorter than the 5 foot steelseries cable but that's perfect as I kept running the 5 foot cable over with my chair, maybe that's why it broke. May 2026 update: Still working just fine, it's been plugged in since I bought it. I move around in my chair a lot so I often pull the cable in a lot of directions since the ports are on the top of the PC but the braiding on the cables offer some stiffness to keep them from getting damaged.

I think I received a defective cable? When I do the audio test that plays left and right, I hear both tones on the right ear, the left test tone faintly and the right test tone at the normal level. Something's not right in the TRRS connector. The microphone doesn't seem to work either. EDIT: I contacted support via email ([email protected]) and they said they are investigating a faulty batch of inventory and linked me to an alternative I could purchase in the mean time. I appreciate their honesty and attention so I'm revising my review.

It’s on the shorter side so recommend and extension aux cable but works great
