Heavy Duty Cable Wire Cutter Electrical Tool ICR-010 Copper or Alum (1)

This is a high-quality tool that cuts the thickest copper cable cleanly and easily. I bought this after borrowing one from a marina neighbor which showed me how cleanly and easily this can cut. Way better than the smaller wire cutters or lock cutter I was trying to use. Nice clean cut.

I received this in the mail today, and used them to cut 100% OFC Knuconceptz Kolossus 0-AWG cable. They cut through this cable with NO drama, and required very little force - I thought it was going to be a much bigger pain than it was. I imagine they would be good for bigger cable, though the package says up to 0-gauge wire. The jaws open plenty wide for 0 AWG. They made a nice clean cut. I've only made 3 cuts so far, so I can't testify to durability, but they'l last me a while.

These cutters are just what I needed. I modify sleeper trucks for a driving Academy to use in teaching class A CDL driving, in removing storage cabinets and installing extra seats for students the cutters preform great in cutting wires and heavy cables.

They arrived with a very rough cutting edge on one end. Not sure if that was from the manufature or they were used and returned. The package wasn't in the best condition. Cleaned up pretty quick with the dremal. It cut 16 gauge wire like butter of course. I bought this with the intent to cut 1/0 battery cable, what I haven't had to do yet.

Work great. I cut 2/0 copper wire with them no problem. Good price

Used this tool to install trolling motor cabling in my boat. Cut right through 6 gauge wire. Also stripped ends for cable crimps. Much better than trying to use regular cutters.

They get surface rust pretty fast if they get the least bit wet... I carry them in my firefighter turnout gear

Due to looseness at the pivot, the tip of one jaw occasionally swings behind the other which prevents the cutters from closing. Reopening and closing while ensuring the cutting faces align face-to-face overcomes the problem. It's a significant deficiency especially when there's limited working space but for the price, I'll learn to deal with it.
