No - the tent is not treated with flame retardants. Every DJECO product is made from the highest quality materials and is completely non-toxic; meets and exceeds all US and European safety standards

How easy is this to take down and back up as needed? Would a 5 year old be able to do it?

Hi, it's very easy to put together as well as taking it apart. Your kid may be able to do it with help.

Does this tent contain any materials that have been treated with fire retardant chemicals?

I do not know the answer to this question. It is an adorable "tent".
