The first thing I need to say is that when purchasing anything online you're going to have to take something of a leap of faith, because there's always the possibility that the product won't be exactly what you expected, that it might not align properly with what you've already got in your house, and because there are going to be so many contrary reviews over it. I spent over an hour reading various reviews on this site and contemplating whether or not I wanted to take the time to purchase the product knowing that I might not be happy with it because someone else wasn't. At the end of the day I went ahead and did it and i'm glad I did. Personally, I think some of the complaints people have over the product are silly. For example, if any of the pieces in the product are missing, chipped, or even broken (Something that can happen, with the latter two often being an unfortunate part of the shipping process) the company allows you to call them directly and have replacement or missing parts sent directly to you. Sure, take a star or two off for the inconvenience, but don't let that impact your view of the final product itself. I didn't have any missing products. Nothing came chipped or broken. The directions were included and were very clear to understand. I want to take some time to emphasize that last part, because another product I purchased on Amazon around the same time (A bookcase) came with terrible instructions, with little writing that actually explained how the pieces were supposed to be setup and placed together. The instructions for this explain every single step, which I appreciated because I want the process to go perfectly the first time. The only part I struggled with was aligning the drawers properly at the end of the process. However, the directions actually state that some might have this problem and that you'll need to adjust how tightly you have certain screws in. Trust me, this might seem like something you don't have to worry about (The tighter the better right?) but you really do, because in some cases you need to have them in tightly, but not to the point that it stops you from being able to slide the drawers in. It only took me a few minutes to make the proper adjustments however and by that point you're at the end of the setup anyways, so I don't think it's a big deal to ensure you get what you want out of the dresser. I put this together myself and it took around 4 hours. I would suggest having a friend help you out to cut down on the time, but it's possible to do it on your own if need be. Have a hammer and screwdriver on hand when the product arrives and beyond that enjoy the product. I think its well worth the money and that it would look great in any bedroom. Couldn't be happier with it.

I have waited 7 or 8 months to rate this to see how it holds up. So far so good. I bought this for my master bath, extra storage. It is great. I looked at several dressers and decided on this one because of the reviews and the aesthetic appearance. It also had a deal where you could pay it off in 5 payments, no interest, bonus! I didn't have to put it on a credit card or pay for the whole thing at once. My bathroom cabinets are cream distressed wood. It's decor is a periwinkle, light hydrangea blue. I wanted a statement piece. Just a note, I don't own any dark furniture in my whole house. It's all cream colored from furniture stores. So black and put together was a really big out of the box for me. I was scared. This turned out to be a good decision. I have it really full. The first two drawers are for every day stuff, mouthwash, toothpaste, make-up, hairspray etc. So it's holding pretty heavy stuff. The third drawer is extra towels and it is packed. The fourth is for the extra stuff that we don't want to run out of. Cottonelle wipes ( the big pack ) heavy, tissues, stuff like that. So in a nutshell these drawers are full of heavy stuff and the are holding up great. When I ordered this it arrived really quick. It was SUPER heavy. Lots and lots of pieces. Did I mention lots of pieces? I wasn't even going to attempt to put it together. Dad to the rescue! He put it together in one afternoon (he is 82) it had all the pieces we needed. There were no broken or chipped boards. I believe it was a good value for the money. It looks just like the picture. It's a matte finish. I would buy from this company again. I wish there was an option to have it arrive already put together.

I would have given this a 5-star rating if not for two things that really bothered me overall: 1) some of the pieces came with blemishes, which i'm not sure is due to poor packaging (by Sauder, not amazon, mind you) or the quality of the material itself. They are easily scratched as well if you're not careful...and being careful requires a lot of patience, especially during the assembly for this, which brings me to the second thing that bothered me: 2) this was a pain to put together. Definitely a cut above ikea in terms of looks as some reviews have mentioned. But, the assembly is painstakingly tedious and requires at least TWO people through some of the steps. The assembly is SIMPLE enough so long as you read the instructions carefully and follow the visuals. But, be ready to muster up A LOT of patience. If you're not patient during assembly, then you will tend to be a little less careful, which potentially could end up with you and your helper adding blemishes/scratches to the furniture. Aside from these two major gripes, I still give this 4 stars for its looks and sturdy quality. It is definitely much better looking and a cut above Ikea furniture, but just as cheap, if not cheaper. I recommend it to people who do not have Ikea nearby and want the convenience of having the furniture delivered to their doorstep, and for those who have tons of patience for assembly.

What a deal for $250! The quality and finish are too notch. Expect around 3 hours to assemble. I would recommend a large assembly space that would not scratch a piece. I used basement space (concrete floor) with cardboard pieces to assemble on. Pay close attention to the directions and illustrations in the manual. Everything was labeled/marked well for assembly. It went together perfect. The chest is lightweight, but sturdy. I would recommend this product to anyone!

I actually have never bought a piece of furniture I couldn't assemble until today so I know the fault doesn't lie with me. This chest of drawers was partially assembled (except backwards) however someone put the metal slides in together incorrectly so that none of the drawers could be inserted from the front!!!! The drawers would only slide in backwards but by then, the chest was nearly put together before I realized it was screwed together completely wrong. It arrived with the hardware screwed in backwards so I removed all the internal metal slides from each of the spaces where 4 drawers were supposed to slide into the chest and easily glide in or out. That did not happen. I made 4 trips to my mom's house to work on this and struggled to put the chest together which shouldn't have taken more than a couple hours. The veneers split and cracked, then the entire piece collapsed after I removed the incorrectly assembled pieces. I had no choice but to start over however due to the flimsiness its too dangerous to use and will have to be taken to the dumpster. This is NOT easy to assemble so don't be fooled by the written instructions with code with the chest. Anyone considering buying this, take it from an expert. I have bought $$$$$ worth of merchandise from Amazon and have never been so completely disgusted and frustrated by the junk which was delivered. Because it took over a month to re-assemble, I am not eligible for a store credit or refund. I have no other choice now but buy something locally, already assembled and have it delivered. I started the process of ordering this as a Christmas gift, its mid-April and so here we are. I've had to re-order this same chest and nightstand 2-3 times before finally getting the order to ship. Certainly you can do better. but if not, this seller should stick to selling paper plates. I will now end up paying twice what I should have had to if this had been delivered correctly the first tine. Learn from my mistakes. You get what you pay for.

I read the reviews I think they are a bit unfair to this manufacture. They do box their product well, shipping can be tuff even though it has great packaging. The directions are great and easy to understand. The hardware is also packaged well and easy to find all pieces needed. I bought 2 of these dressers and assembled them with a lot of patients and elbow grease. I set up each stage and it took me 2 to 2 1/2 hours each dresser. I have assembled a few different items in the past so I had a good idea what I was getting into buying these dressers. The end result was 2 beautiful dressers that look wonderful in my bedrooms. They are heavy and nicely made. The price was the reason I decided to buy this dresser that I knew would be a lot of work. I am proud of my finished dressers and would buy from this company again.

Normally I do not go out of my way to post reviews but thought it was warranted for these dressers after reading mixed reviews on them before I decided to purchase them. Let me start off by saying that this dresser is wonderful and it was exactly what I was expecting. Yes, it’s like your typical pieces of furniture that you have to put together with lots of parts and what not but as far as this type of furniture goes it is the best that I have ever purchased. The first thing I noticed was how heavy this dresser was. Yes, it is pieces of compressed wood particles (engineered wood) but is the best quality I have seen to date of this stuff. Take your time building this dresser and looking at the instructions. If you follow the instructions it will come out just like it is supposed to. For the reviews that say the drawers came out all crooked and don’t line up you need to adjust the screws on the sides to adjust the drawers after it has been put together. Expect to spend about 2 -4 hours to build this dresser in the end it is worth it. I actually bought both the chest of drawers as well as the long dresser. I did have a piece that was broken and had to get it mailed and replaced by Sauder and it arrived within a few days so yes there can be issues but in the end it was worth it and the dresser is the same quality of something you would buy at a furniture store for $500+.

package was delivered very damaged. caused some scrapes on the product that we had to conceal.

Very heavy made of fibre board - I had to open the package and take the pieces downstairs in several trips- put it together myself- good instructions- looks really nice. Matches the furniture in that room.
