Fresh Step Advanced Simply Unscented Multi Cat Clumping Litter, 18.5lb, 2Pk

This Fresh Step double-pack is a great deal for 18.5 lbs per box. Our cats immediately switched over with no issues. Its odor control is excellent. ( And we have 3 cats sharing it). Little tracking. Easy to scoop. Easy to pour straight from the box. And clumping is also excellent which again makes it easy to scoop. Recommended to all cat parents.

I have been using this litter for my cats for many years. It clumps really well and neutralizes odors quickly. I’ve never had a cat show any discomfort with stepping on or otherwise interacting with this litter. It does track kind of a lot, but litter mats and regular vacuuming (both of which should be standard for any home with cats regardless of litter type) keep it in check. If they ever get rid of the unscented option, I will be very sad and will have to start searching for a new one. Cats have such incredibly strong senses of smell, and scented litter is so overwhelming that it makes me uncomfortable, so I can only imagine how bad that’d be for the cats. And it truly is unscented. At worst, it smells like dust when I first pour it, though the current formula is definitely way less dusty than it used to be.

My cat has asthma. So, I have always purchased low dust litter. I have used Dr Elsey’s brand for the past 12 years and I thought it was the best until I tried this Fresh Step Advanced simply unscented 99.9% dust free litter. This stuff is amazing! Every time I used Dr Elsey’s a little dust will fly into the air when I dumped it out of the bag. I don’t know if that’s because the bag gets jostled in transit or what, but it clearly had some dust. Mind you, it’s much less than most other brands, but I was concerned when I started seeing dust at the bottom of the litter tray as well. So, I did some research and watched video of someone pouring the Fresh Step Advanced out, and it looked like nothing goes into the air- it’s crazy! There is a little dust on the bottom of the litter box, but way way less than other brands and I didn’t see any cloud up when I pour it. Some people may use a nonclumping crystal litter for their asthmatic cats, but that doesn’t work in a litter robot. This litter clumps, although I do find that it might take a while longer for it to do so. If you have a litter robot like me, maybe set it to the longer wait before cycle time, so you don’t have any wet stuck on litter when it cycles. Overall, I am extremely happy with this purchase. I also appreciate that the litter comes in two smaller boxes for easy lifting and pouring. Great product!

Everything about this litter is good other than the dust. It tracks less than the other brands that I had "Arm and Hammer" and it does well with odor. The only negative is that it produces big dust clouds when you scoop it. Everything in my laundry room is covered in litter dust. I assume it is not good to breath in either. If it wasn't for the dust I would give it a 5. Still, probably the best litter overall. All of the brands that I have tried have at least one negative.

Great clumping, very little dust (I have asthma and this does not bother it one bit), easy to pick up the clumps, manages odor well.

I have had many cats over the years and tried about every litter on the market from crystals to pine to standard clays and clumping. I mean EVERY type of litter and brand. This is my favorite so far! Pros: clumps well with less “gooey” clumps that tend to form when my cat goes near the edge of the box, which is often. He’s really big, weighs about 18-19 lbs, and he’s a big water drinker. Always has been, it’s not a health issue. So he goes a lot. Not little clumps you see in the ads, more like the size of a baseball. This litter does a way better job of absorbing it than most others. There is literally no smell, no perfume cover up, no cloying dust smell, no feces smell (if he decides to cover it up that day), and absolutely no urine odor. I use a large stainless steel pan (another game changer as it doesn’t hold any odors like plastic does) due to his size and I put the entire box in when I start fresh. I do scoop daily and replenish a bit once a week. I can get 3-4 weeks out of 2 boxes of litter before I dump and clean the pan to start fresh again. The only con is the price but then again, the pros are worth a little extra cost to me. It makes life easier, my nose happier, and my cat uses it, unlike some others he hated (crystals were not a hit for either of us). I’m on subscription for this one now. Get it. You won’t regret it.

I am so impressed with this cat litter! The absolute best part about it is how incredibly long-lasting it is before I have to completely change out the box What really sets it apart is the odor control. It hides the urine smell completely, even after my cat has used it several times. Since I live in a smaller home, keeping those smells at bay is incredibly important to me. I never want guests to walk in and immediately notice a litter box smell, and this litter completely does the trick .It keeps my home smelling fresh and clean. I highly recommend this to any cat owner!I

I was using this in my automatic litter box for almost a year but something changed recently. Now it won’t clump well anymore. Just turns into a mushy clay like texture that smears everywhere inside the box. The soft clay like clumps block the door to the bin and the litter box stops rotating mid cycle. It’s not usable anymore unfortunately. I will be trying something different.

One of the best cat litter, a bit expensive but it’s the best

EDIT: price has gone up significantly within the three times I’ve purchased, from $40 (2021) to $60. I’ll need to find an alternative soon. I’ve tried 4 different types of cat litter since getting my cat, including pretty litter. Here’s what I love about this litter: Dust free ODOUR CONTROL - I live in a small, one bedroom apartment and my litter is in one of those “hidden” litter boxes that is disguised as a side table in the corner of my apartment. You can imagine how important it is for me to stay on top of the cat litter for one and two for the litter to control odour. Previously, I’d empty the box every day and STILL there would be a scent of urine & fake scent coming from the corner. With Fresh Step Advanced, no odour at all with my regular cleaning. I will never go back!

Bought this unscented one and the febreeze one that is lighter weight. Definitely notice the febreeze one tracks more with it being lighter. This isn't zero track but as close as you can get. Zero odour issues with this unscented version, also like unscented so my cat doesn't smell like kitty litter.
