325 True-RMS Clamp Meter with Frequency, Temperature & Capacitance Measurements

This digital clamp multimeter is the perfect size for working in electrical panels. The readings are accurate, and the display is easy to see, even when working in low-light conditions. It's lightweight and convenient to carry. I purchased this as a gift for my husband, and he has been very pleased with its performance. His only recommendation would be to reinforce or strengthen the carrying case around the dial selector. He feels the dial is somewhat sensitive and could be prone to damage when carried in a tool bag or service cart. Overall, it's a reliable, accurate, and practical multimeter that he would recommend to other electricians and technicians.

Fluke has always been recommended by family members involved in electrical work. They are good meters and perform to specifications.. I bought the fluke 116/234 combo as my first meter set as an HVAC technician. 4koms was not enough to test thermistors with the 324, and I had to go back to the truck for the other meter. I bought the Fluke 325 to keep it as simple as possible and use one multimeter. 40kohms is not enough either and the Fluke 325 does not have inrush amps, auto selection of ac/dc volts, nor non contact voltage. I bought the Hioki CM4371-50 and have used it every day in the field. I am ashamed to say, I left it on top of a unit for two days, it was rained on, on both days. I picked it up and it hasn’t missed a beat. All of the deficiencies described of the fluke 325 are alleviated by the Hioki CM4371-50. Faster voltage readings with higher accuracy, 6 mohm resistance, ac/dc current measurements, non contact voltage, and category III 1,000volt rating/600volt category IV rating. I have used it for over two years. It has proven to be a rugged tool. I will never buy another Fluke multimeter again. It will also connect via Bluetooth to a phone Cheers!

What a quality piece of equipment! I have owned several multimeters over the years, but none of them were as well made as this Fluke. It is also easy to use and very simple to learn. I am entirely pleased with it and look forward to many years of service from it. I received an unhelpful vote on the above review so I will attempt to give more information to rectify it. I purchased the AC/DC version of this meter with temperature measurement. My first impression of this product was one of quality. The yellow and black soft case is well made and provides plenty of room to keep the probes in it along with the meter. I do my best to protect my tools and expect this case to last me well, as I won't be abusing it. Now if someone was to throw it in their toolbox and drop other tools on it repeatedly, I expect that it would not last long. But for the normal person, it should hold up well. The test leads have good quality probes attached to a fairly heavy duty wire terminating in well made banana plugs. The plugs fit securely in the meter, but aren't too hard to get into the meter. I didn't measure the full length of the leads but they are of sufficient length and seemed to be just a tad longer than most leads. As the probes have very sharp points, there are caps for them provided. The included manual is very thorough and an electronic version is available for download at their website to carry on your phone or tablet if needed in the field. I tested the meter with 115volt AC, 230 volt AC, 0 to 30 volt DC, multiple resistances including a potentiometer, AC current from 1 to 30 amps, DC current from 2 to 180 amps, and multiple temperatures. I tested against other meters and thermometers I had and I was quite satisfied with the Flukes accuracy. I like the fact that I can use this one meter instead of having to grab two or three other meters because of different kind of measurements on the same project. The data hold feature really comes in handy when you are in checking amperage and the lines that you are checking are too big to be rotated to where you can see the meter face. This was a splurge purchase for me as I don't work use this meter in making my living. I am an advanced do it yourselfer who likes to have good quality, long lasting tools and I was glad to see my money was well spent. I am completely satisfied with my Fluke 325. We use Amazon for most of our purchases and I update my reviews if anything changes with the products. I do this so other Amazon users can get a real feel for the life of the product. I got this meter to help with parastic draw tests and because it was a Fluke. The meter is pretty great, it's light, but also feels like you could smack someone around with it and it would be completely unscathed. The backlight is decent, but not great. If you're in a dark area it'll be better than nothing. The case is JUST big enough for the meter and the leads to fit (folded up), it doesn't fit the meter with the leads attached. I do like how small the case is though. I can attach it to my pants with a carabiner and it's not too bad. One thing that bugs me is that Ohms measuring and continuity testing are combined into one and there's no way to choose between the two. So if you're trying to test the resistance of a switch or fuse the meter will be beeping the whole time. I have had a couple instances with testing the Ohms of a wheel speed sensor where the meter determined I was doing a ohms measurement and shut off the continuity test. I'm not sure how or why it did, it's very ambiguous, but it seems the meter has some way of determining what you're trying to do. The clamp is slightly slow, it'll adjust until it gets the right measurement, but rest assured you can be confident that it's displaying the measurement with confidence. It's a fantastic meter and definitely the best near $300 I've spent, the only reason I don't use it a lot is I don't like leaving my meter in the bay I work at when I'm not there and sometimes forget it in my other car that contains all of my other tools. Update: Just wanted to share a bit of an update. This meter doesn't read millivolts very well. You'll only be able to read to the 100's, so you couldn't see something like 0.01V on the meter. So doing a test like AC ripple with this meter will prove fruitless unless you're getting an egregious amount of AC through your battery. Still love the meter, but make sure you have another meter that can go down to the mV scale if you're gonna be doing tests like this.

Bought it in late 2013 (yes same one) I Use it on automotive, HVAC, house Electrical, Diesel, and appliances repairs Does a excellent job for any trade that doesn't require tolerances of .001 or less Auto range is ok but very efficient for quick checking continuity and resistance. min/max is a nice feature when checking voltage. Very robust amp clamp, still has a tight grip. Shuts off when not in use for a while which is nice when your constantly leaving it on. Lol Only thing that I would change is when turning on the dmm and using V that it remembers your last selection alternating or direct.. when working with direct V you have to switch it to direct eveytime you turn it on. Great DMM that can go the distance for any person entering the trades. -KVN

Make sure you get yourself or already happen to have a good set of silicone leads, the ones shipped with the meter are like ten dollar plastic coated trash that would feel more at home in harbor freight product. edit: this was a little harsh they're decent leads it was just chilly the day i got them and they were incredibly stiff to move around and get any readings with. i put my set of TL175s on and honestly those are the leads I would like to get when spending hundreds of dollars on a tool. the cheap stiffies work, they're accurate, but if you're trying to work below freezing good luck feller

I'm reviewing a Fluke 325 True RMS Clamp Meter. I really like this meter because it has the same features as my Fluke 902 meter (which I still have and still works) but smaller in size. I've used this meter for about 2 years now for my line of work which is a hvac service technician. I can say from my own experience that it is very reliable and durable since I dropped it numerous times without having it fail. I've had different brands of meters in my 13 year career as a hvac service technician in Las Vegas and this one is by far the best! I've had a fieldpiece before which ended up failing because it would read 400 volts when It was actually supposed to be reading 0 volts! Meters that fail like that are dangerous for me because I can get electrocuted if I don't double check voltage jus to be sure. I guess you get what you pay for! I know these meters are very pricy but in my line of work they basically pay for itself in a matter of service calls. Having a good reliable meter will save you the headache and help you troubleshoot hvac equipment more precisely and efficiently.

Mantiene el buen nivel de acabado y presentación de la marca Fluke. Siempre me ha gustado por la gran duración y fiabilidad que me han demostrado en todos sus productos, aunque el precio es más elevado que otras marcas sin tan buena reputación (marcas low cost chinas).

Acheté en remplacement d'un fluke 336, le multimètre fonctionne très bien, j'ai pu le comparer avec le fluke 375 que je possède au travail, il donne exactement les mêmes valeurs, il y a juste le temps de réaction qui est un peu plus long pour le 325. Seul bémol la pochette est un peu petite (lorsque l'on range le multimètre avec ses câbles branchés). Satisfait du produit, très bien pour usage domestique, je l'utiliserai également pour mes voitures. Je recommande, reçu 1 jour plus tôt que prévu!

Peu encombrant, faible poids, qualité du produit. Seul point qui pourrait être amélioré, c’est la housse. Il faut débrancher les cordons pour ranger l’appareil dans son étui.
