I really can't detail much about this article. It's simply solid metal, I've bought a set of similar weights before and they usually retain the paint well and don't rust much, if you keep them indoors. Outdoors I recommend putting a cover on them although even so the humidity can rust them more easily than if you put them on the porch or in a lower room. It's a good set to start your gym. It's amazing for squats, bench press and the price is decent

Excellent quality plates that are true to weight. I had Fitness Gear plates from Dick's Sporting Goods and they were a good 1-2lbs underweight (35 and 45lb plates). Body Solid is one of the best fitness brands available.

ordered these couple weeks ago and some weights were missing, ordered a replacement set that came today and it was missing even more weights than before. don't buy safe yourself from the frustration

The plates will leave dark carbon residue on everything touched initially, but they are good quality. They did NOT arrive with scratches or chips. Plates actually weigh +/- 1 lb what they are suppose to weigh. Body solid is a brand that I am starting to lean towards with all of our equipment.
