Sony RMF-TX500U OEM Remote Control

Our remote went bad. The home button was not working anymore. Mostly, my boy was pressing to hard on it. Got this as a replacement and works excellent. We don’t use the voice so can’t tell if that works or not.

using this to replace a tx310u remote. works perfectly, but the buttons are different so it takes some getting used to. all in all a great replacement!

True story .. my TV manual (for the Sony TV whose remote dropped dead after only 9 months of use) says that these remotes cannot be programmed to work with another TV. News flash .. yes, yes they can. I fully expected to have to send this back when it didn't work but .. sadly, I was disappointed and now I don't let the wife touch this one. Sometimes I do let her hold the old one though .. after I take the batteries out of course.

I would've never expected this type of garbage from Sony, been a fan for so many years and even the hardest of fanboy cannot hide the fact that this is most useless piece of electronic equipment ever released into the world. You'd have a better experience buying fake headphone on Canal St. Got two of these remotes, one the microphone didn't work and both have the worst of tactile buttons that you have to push so hard to make them work it's ridiculous, the infrared works only when directly pointed at the TV... Terrible.

Goes with my Bravia. The remote is great but instructions included could have been better. I almost returned it.
