Orde4ed this kit to remove taps and it works phenomenally. It is made of high quality materials and is quite durable. You can also order replacement fingers when they break or wear out.

Expensive but effective
I didnโt find the exact right size Walton Tap Extractor I needed to extract this broken tap out of my motorcycle, however I was able to make one ones from the set work to remove the broken tap. It took a lot of tries and a lot of lube to get it to move, as the fingers on the extractor did not quite fit well into the flutes. But with some determination, we got it to work. Iโm giving this 5 stars since itโs the only thing that got this tap out and the alternative could have turned into a much more expensive and time consuming problem. I may have been better off just dremeling in a slot and trying to twist it out with a flathead screwdriver and lube. My recommendation would be to try that first before buying a $90 set that you may only use occasionally.

tines bent you can straighten them or trim, and they are replaceable.
Yes they do bend. I had to install a hose clamp to hold the tines in, they like to back out when turning especially when use the tool horizontal. Once I installed the hose clamp tool backed the broken tap right out.

Worked exactly as described
Broke a tap a good 1/8 inch below the surface in a transmission. Broke 1 tab on the first try. Cut them to the same length and took my time setting the pin. Worked with a little bit of worry. Doubt the pins will last more than a few uses. Overall worth the cost.

Only tap extractor I have used that works
I was very skeptical of a tap extractor actually working, but this really did the job effortlessly. Pulled the broken tap out easily. It will pay for itself in a couple uses. Very slick

Works Perfectly.
Works perfectly for tap extraction. You will bend them trying to remove tap but beats buying a new engine.
User
Works as advertised
I was skeptical if this would actually work. Now, I did do a couple of extra things to get the broken tap out. The part was finish painted and I didn't want to screw that up. Applied a small amount of lubricant, inserted the tap extraction tool and then inverted a can of compressed air to freeze the tap. The Tap was broken into 3 parts but was fairly easy to remove.
