This illuminating guidebook will help young tinkerers and makers find creative ways to use cardboard boxes, sheets, and tubes in easily-engineered projects, including awesome gadgets, toys, games, inventions, and sculptures. Cardboard is everywhere! For creative kids aged 9 to 14, it’s the perfect eco-friendly building material, and Cardboard Box Engineering is the perfect guide to get them started on inventive tinkering. A working kaleidoscope, a marble roller coaster, a robotic hand, and a wind-powered tractor with cardboard gears are just some of the ingenious projects developed by Jonathan Adolph, author of the best-selling Mason Jar Science . Working with simple household tools, kids can follow the step-by-step photographic instructions to exercise their design smarts, expand their 3-D thinking, and learn the basics of physics and engineering with activities that have real-life applications. Review: Lots of good ideas! - This book looked promising, so I purchased a copy. Once I got it, I was so excited that I gave my copy to a teacher friend of mine and bought another for myself! While my kids are grown, I sometimes have my friend's daughter (10 y.o.) over for projects. I showed her the book and asked her to flag the projects she thought looked good. She flagged so many, I had to have her prioritize the top three. The directions are clear with lots of pictures but also provide for options. There is information about the science behind the projects. A great way to reuse existing cardboard and have fun making useful toys/projects. Review: For an older child with good cardboard cutting skills, with creativity and curious mind! - Unfortunately, I bought this for the wrong kid! Didn’t know…grandson is on the spectrum. This former teacher recommends it for children who love to build and who love to recycle all those desertcart boxes!Who doesn’t have boxes just lying around!

Wonderful Book!
This is a great book! Initially, my son borrowed it from the library and I decided to order it for him. He has been creating things from boxes and cardboard since he was around 4yrs old. It's a great book for boys and girls as well!

Huge hit for my creative 8 yo
My 8 yo boy has an engineer brain that never stops inventing new ways to build and design. He has loved using this boom - along with one of the construction sets - to construct all kinds of new creations and give a 2nd life to packaging before it hits the recycle bin. I love the fact that it’s a screen free way for him to stay entertained while not adding more permanent plastic monstrosities to the playroom. Win-win.

Great books to educate children ans make them think
My 3 year old son is addicted to this book. He literally waits for the paper towels to run out to save the paper tube for a project he wants to do in the book. The instructions are simple to do. Parents should take part like I do with my son. I use the scissors, tap and glue.

Tavsiye ederim
Sınıfımda kullanmak için aldım. Çok işime yarayacağını düşünüyorum. 9 yaşındaki öğrencilerimle birçoğunu yapabileceğimizi düşünüyorum. Karton stoklamak gerekiyor
