Excellent knife. I usually carry fold up knives. I use them a hundred times daily. Gerber is great so I gave this a shot AND I bought a knock off of this knife at the same time. The gerber blade is excellent, solid, thick, sharp, good cerakote coating, great handle with easy to hold coating, great sheath. The knockoff was half the thickness of the Gerber, cheap steel, plastic handle, cheap flimsy sheath. HUGE difference between the two despite the fact that the knockoff looks almost exactly the same. They are NOT and Gerber is well worth the added cost if you want a real solid work knife.

I love to go to the range and outdoors to shoot my guns. I always carry a knife with me and I wanted a new one with a better sheath. This knife has great reviews and the Gerber name and it was the right size that I wanted. I ordered one and I liked it so much that I went back and ordered two more as gifts for my range buddies. This knife is superb. It is only one of two knives that I purchased that out of the box I could shave the hair off of my arm. The blade was honed like a razor. The blade is ceramic coated but it is actually a stainless steel full tang blade. Full tang blades are the only way to go for a strong and high performance knife. It is also a drop point blade. The pommel of the knife has a hard point with a hole through it. The hard point is enough to shatter a car window or windshield in a rescue situation or to be used, if needed, as a striking point in self defense. I will put a small wrist lanyard on the heel of the knife using military Paracord. The knife has a good grip with a diamond texture. The handle is shaped to be comfortable and provide a gripping surface that is non slip. Both ends of the grip are flared to protect your hand. The grip is solidly built and rubber coated. The knife comes with an excellent sheath that allows you to mount the knife in multiple ways. MOLLE mounting, sideways belt mounting and vertical belt mounting are all included. I have shown the accessories in photographs with the review and I hope they are helpful for you. The sheath itself is extremely nice. This makes this knife a great value. The sheath also comes with strong nylon straps for the belt mounting and MOLLE mounting. There is modular horizontal belt mounting hardware supplied and you can also use it for easy MOLLE mounting using the plastic slide locking hardware. The only thing I would have liked would have been to have the sheath come with straps to allow thigh mounting while hanging from your belt a little lower. The sheath allows the knife to snap into the locked mode but also be drawn out easily but it is securely held into place. There is also a nylon strap that you can snap around the knife to hold the knife even more securely. This knife is a nice product. It is solidly built with 420 hardened stainless steel and black coated with ceramic for rust protection and to reduce visibly of a drawn knife. It is one of the two sharpest knives I own out of about 30 collected over the years. After showing it to friends I wound up buying them one as a gift. I recommend this knife as a good product that is a good value and it comes with the accessories that you need. I rated it at 5 stars. This is a great knife to carry when you are in the field.

Bought for my son. He loves the design, sturdiness, and sharpness out of the box. He is a Gerber fan and could not be happier with this fantastic knife.

I was looking for a daily carry knife not to expensive but well made. I feel this knife is both. Great fit in my hand. Nice grip good feel. Blade length at 4.8 just right. Not too long but greater than 3 inches. Really like pommel, glass breaker and good for self defense.

Good, strong knife. I feel like I can pry a door open with it and have it come out no worse for wear. Actual full tang as advertised, unlike some knives that advertise a full tang and only have a 1/2" strip of metal encompassed by a grip. "Glass breaker" pommel which is alright I guess, I know I wouldn't want to get hit by it. The edge had a short 3/16" jagged section right where it transitions toward the grip. Doesn't bother me much, I bought this to be a generic camp knife. The grip is profile is flatter than most knives The sheath tries to do too much and suffers for it. The knife itself feels secure in the sheath, I really have no fear of it falling out. If I carry it normally (handle straight up), it flops around badly. Wearing it sideways doesn't work as I wear a Magpul Tejas belt and the belt is too thick for the clips on the back. The only decent way for me to carry this thing would be to strap it to something or change to a thinner belt and wear it sideways. This isn't as big a deal as it's likely going to live in my camping box.

Great knife! Great sheath! I don't know why some people talk bad about the sheath. The knife fits very well and there are numerous options for carry without doing too much. The molle mount option works great for a plate carrier. The knife itself it sharp and made from good metal for the purpose of the knife. THE PURPOSE OF THE KNIFE. Some people get silly with their opinions on knife steel because they've read multiple forum posts and articles and think they know what's best for every knife. Sorry, you're not as much of an expert as you think you are. If you want some very specific metal that's going to be 1% superior in some specific circumstance over the life of the knife, go for it. Pay twice as much for your special knife from a boutique company. Get out of here. This is a great knife. That said, BEWARE OF FAKES. The market is flooded with fakes, but there are numerous videos online telling you how to spot the fakes. I got a legit knife from the Gerber store here on Amazon. Don't buy from questionable sources for "50% off deals."

Great knife in my opinion. Would definitely recommend 8/10
