Comfortable and well made sneaker that's easy to close
My son has cerebral palsy and needs comfortable shoes that have great support, and are easy to get into. This fits the bill. It comes in a variety of widths and we have purchased them many times. It's lightweight and durable.

Safe for old man.
Perfect fit and comfortable. I am 90 and this shoe halps me walk safely compared to cheap shoes. Easy to put on.

Good for my needs, with reservations
I find that I need a shoe with straps instead of laces, that feels comfortable, and that looks as much as possible like a black business shoe. Shoes with straps are hard to find where I live. These are all-black, have leather uppers and are fairly soft. I wear them semi-actively all day most days, or until they start feeling uncomfortable. The problem for me is that after 10 or 12 months, they start to show noticeable wear. The joint between the foot pad and the inner wall starts feeling uncomfortable after, say, 8 hours of wearing them. And the edges of the soles start to come apart around that same time. I'm probably unrealistic thinking any shoe in heavy use should last more than a year, but shelling out $80 every 15 to 16 months bothers me. Also, the tread is tight. That helps the business-like appearance, but it's hard to clean. On the whole, I don't think there's anything better for the money, but at the end of a long day it's hard to think they're perfect.

great "old man" shoes - one of my favorites - on my second pair in five years - they wear well for white-soled shoes - very comfortable when flying/airports - good support - I hate brightly colored athletic -style shoes - they seem more suitable for small children to me
