Nice product I carry and use daily
These pens are great. Just don't take them on an airplane, the TSA guys think it's a real bullet, and they'll take it away from you. They make the perfect gift for the man that has everything....

Great product; Raw Brass for less $$$
I love fisher space pens, this is my 5th one. Lost the other 3 lol. I love them because they ALWAYS write. The patina of the raw brass changes a little bit everyday and I love that. Also, I've ever had one go dry on me. To be fair, I lost them before they had a chance. They're not perfect, but because of the quality materials and simple construction, they are pretty simple to fix if something goes wrong. For example, a common problem is that, on the front of the pen, the outer brass sheath will eventually separate from the inner barrell. Put some epoxy on there and you're good. Another small issue, you can see in the photo I attached that the construction may vary a bit. One pen sits way down into the shell before it stops, and the other fits higher up. Doesn't bother me, but worth noting. The other photo is an example of better materials: I was able to add a keychain to one of them. Drilled a hole, then filed and sanded it down smooth. What other pen can you do that with? I've got two now, one for home and one on the go. Where's yours?

The perfect pen, for me at least! (Lost mine, re-ordering today!)
I needed a pen that would write when and where I wanted it to, no matter the conditions, rain, sleet snow and blistering heat. One that I could write on surfaces over my head, and have it not stop! I recall a Three Stooges short where Moe tried to demonstrate a pen that would write under whipped cream, believe it or not this pen would surely do that, although I haven't tried yet! I also needed a pen that would stand up to being in my pocket along with my keys and knife and not have all the plastic get chipped or the paint scratched off. No plastic and no paint here, just good old solid brass, the more abuse, the better it looks as far as I'm concerned. The only downside I could come up with was you probably shouldn't try to travel by air with on of these on you, you'd never make it through the security gates. But no problem for me, if I go anywhere, it's usually on foot or bicycle!!! Yup, I'm mighty happy with this writing instrument! See ya' (July 14th 2014 update) Well, sad to say, I lost my pen Friday,(Almost feel naked without it!) searched everywhere, checked with person I last let use it, they SAID they gave it back, I'm not TOO sure 'bout that! Glad this is still available and will be in my hot hands in a couple of days thanks to "Prime"...and guess what, I hate to be greedy but no one but yours truly will handle this new one (famous last words, right???) See ya'

Good for writing with my arthritis!
I have had rheumatoid arthritis (the inflammatory type) for over 30 years now, and it has done a lot of damage to my hands. I am a writer, and I need to be able to write by hand as well as by computer. I recently saw a detailed video series on AOL about handwriting, and it showed a position for holding the pen that particularly works for people with arthritis. I tried it, and it helped greatly. Before, I had used an enlarged handgrip type of pen and pencil, and now I need one that is much smaller. And if I'm going to use ink, it needs to handle strange angles, because my grip may not be the angle most pens are used to. I've been using pencils with thick, soft lead, and that requires very frequent turning of the pencil, which means shifting my grip. Also frequently advancing the lead. Oy. So I researched--a lot--and came up with the Fisher. I had tried a Fisher refill some time ago, but can't find it now and don't know which pen it fitted. I have a collection of pens and pencils. Now a whole bunch of them have dried up refills. Oy! The Fisher refill sounds good as an antidote to that. Thanks to everyone who wrote reviews on Fisher pens! I found this one, read all your reviews, and thought it just might be good for me. And I ordered one. Well, wow! I can write faster and better than I have for the last few years. Even though it doesn't have a clip, it doesn't roll off surfaces, just rolls rather slowly in a small circle. Fits in my pocket great. Allows me to keep one grip for a long time, and helps me write better. It's mentally better, too, because I can write faster. Of course I need a back up! So I am here to order another. Sitting here with my trusty Fisher in my shirt pocket--snapped shut, 'cause I certainly don't want to lose it. Its weight is just right. I don't even feel it in my pocket, but it doesn't float around in there. It's a good friend!

No. 1 With a Bullet
I'm a big fan of the Fisher Space Pen refills. I have them in most of my pens and I buy the refills by the dozen. One of my favorites is the Zebra F-701 stainless steel pen, slightly modified to perfectly use the Fisher refill. (I'll point you to the simple how-to for this if you ask). But I don't always have a convenient shirt pocket to clip my pen firmly in place. That's where this terrific pen comes into play. If I'm wearing a sweater or sweatshirt in winter or a t-shirt in summer without a pocket I just slip this into my pants pocket at I'm prepared to write on nearly any surface without fail. It is weighted toward the primer end and is surprisingly comfortable to write with. It is heavy enough to stay in place without worries of it slipping out of my pocket and of course there is the novelty factor. It's simply fun to watch people's reaction when I pull a bullet out of my pocket and start to write with it. Just a caution here: I would not try to board a plane with this in my pocket. Flying is aggravating enough without trying to convince some TSA moron that the only way he could get hurt with this is if I threw it at his hollow head. Also the normal rubbing contact with my fingers is enough to keep it nice and shiny. I should say, not so much shiny, as it develops a lovely patina with usage. I've had no need to polish it. The shell casing is a genuine H&H casing and is made from raw brass, it's not polished, but it is smooth and fairly shiny. This means I've no worries about loose change in my pocket dinging up the finish. Any tiny imperfections merely make it look more authentic. I'm probably going to buy another in case I lose this one and I may give some for Christmas gifts this year, too. I could not recommend this pen more. Additional note: the size of the pen as listed on the page is incorrect. Opened, with the cap in place on top, the pen is 4 3/8" long. Closed with the cap covering the writing tip, it is 4" long. It fits very comfortably in my pants pocket.

Love it as a Desk Pen, its ok as a pocket pen
I'm a gun nut and love the .375 H&H Magnum cartridge. This is a Space Pen, I carry a "Fisher Space Pen Bullet Chrome Finish" daily, every time. This pen is a looker, but a bit heavy to be carried daily but a nice desk pen (for me). The case is an actual cartridge case, the bullet is the pen itself, but the overall length is a bit too long for the real thing.

I have hundreds of penss
I lost my black Fisher space pen after years of daily carry. when I looked to replace it, I saw this. Bought it, too cool. it's better than my other one (though I will be replacing that, too). The case to pen fit is so tight that the pen must be twisted when inserting into the case (yes, its a real HH 375 case), it pops out. I asked the company if they're SURE there's no powder in the primer, as I want to punch it out (to let air out). NO ANSWER, (YET). So aside from some questionable customer service, this is a great pen.

Great looking & writes smooth
Love this as a gift or for my personal use. Just have No Clue what type of refill to buy. That's pretty disappointing. You would think, refills would be an option on the purchase page, but I have no clue what this 375 pen uses, even after spelling the whole thing out and 0! search results. Won't buy refillable pens anymore. If your looking for a great gift for a friend or fellow outdoorsman, this is great. Then you can let them hassle with finding a refill. Cliff in Cali

Cadeau

Best pens I have ever used!
I have four of these for personal use with; black, blue, green and red ink. They are brilliant pens and I wouldn't be without them. they offer many advantages including: 1. I have found in life that work colleagues are normally too honest to 'steal' a quality pen. whereas Bic's etc. are fair game. 2. they don't leak in your pocket. 3. They write anywhere. 4. they even write when it's cold 5. when closed up they fit comfortably in my trouser pocket. 6. I have been using them for over ten years without any problems. I have found one major disadvantage, namely; you cannot take the bullet shaped ones on an aircraft, if you do you stand a chance of getting them confiscated. I asked security at Los Angeles (LAX) airport and they said don't even try it, strange that as they are made in America. I have got round this by buying one of the torpedo shaped ones and assembling it for writing before putting it in the scanner tray, it has been on at least 6 x flights without any problems. According to the blurb these pens cost £millions to develop so they could be used in space travel. the Russians took a pencil.

The actual Bullet
Ink cartridge writes smoothly, Pen has a definite weight and I am delighted with the actual cartridge of the 375 being the pens Body and holder
