Each battery has a different capacity to estimate charge time use the following formula: Charging time of AA battery = Battery's capacity in mAh / 500mA and Charging time of AAA battery = Battery's capacity in mAh / 250mA.

Is there a difference in max charge current for USB-C vs Micro-USB? What happens if you plug both ports into power?

Both USB ports (Micro and USB C) will provide the same power output (charging rate/charging time). If plugging both at the same time, the charger will only take power via the USB C cable.
