Dressing Stick
Works fine!

Shortens time it takes to dress
As I've gotten older I can't easily reach everywhere easily to dress. This is my little helping hand. I think it helps with grabbing a sock, pushing the straps up out on my bras so they untwist, grabs the shoulder of my sweater and helps straighten out my pant leg to fit my leg in. I never expected to need help dressing, but I do. I like the wood, old fashioned feel to it, and it would be handy to pack in a suitcase if I traveled since it folds in half. If something aids me in speeding up a bit I appreciate its usefulness. Good product

Well worth the price
I actually quite like this. It’s far more than ‘just’ a dressing stick—-but that doesn’t differentiate it from all the others. Plus: it’s as long as most others so your reach range is good; it’s think enough wood that it isn’t flimsy or breakable easily; it cost less than most; AND it comes as two pieces that you can screw/unscrew for storage/easy carry with you. THAT is well done. Minus: the only reason I gave it a 4 is there is no way to lock the 2 pieces together, so frequent use can find the pieces starting to unscrew. It’s easy to turn them back together but I feel they need to devise a quick lock/unlock mechanism. Will this stop me from buying it again? No, but it is an improvement I’d like to see. All in all well worth what I paid. Recommended.

A must when having knee or hip replacements
These sticks are very useful for dressing and undressing when you are not allowed or unable to bend more than 90 degrees. I swear by them

Last 6 months
The stick broke. The ends can go onto any dowel. It's worth it to use u til it breaks then get a solid dowel and put the ends on it.

Amazing tool!
I recently had a lumbar fusion. I was instructed not to bend, twist or lift more than 5 lbs. Have you ever tried to put on a pair of pants without bending or twisting? I worked with an occupational therapist who heartily recommended I purchase a dressing stick to give me the independence of dressing myself, without hurting my back. This is a great, sturdy and thoughtfully designed tool that I heartily recommend.

Split after just a few weeks of light use.
I bought two of these and they both ended up splitting within just a few weeks of purchase. I have two older ones from more than 10 years ago that still work. They do not have a screw in the middle to hold both ends together. The screw is has cracked the wood and made it virtually useless. My old one that I got when I had my hip replaced back in 1996 is still functioning. I just can't find the manufacturer of it. I definitely do not recommend this dressing stick!

Great for opening and closing windows
I’m on crutches after an accident can’t open the windows as can’t reach to close them this comes in really handy for pulling the windows closed

Works well
My only concern is the wood is not sealed and may be possible to get a sliver. Other than that works well!

Helpful
I suppose it depends on your individual needs but for me this is a very useful dressing aid. The shaped unit at one end helps with shrugging off tops and hoisting up pants. Top tip: wrap some insulating tape round the screw joint to prevent it working loose

Where are all the five star reviews coming from?
Bought this for my elderly mother. Very disappointing. Cheaply made and not useful in the ways depicted in the product page photos. Returned a few days later.
