I worked for a law enforcement agency that used blue outer armor carriers, which I bought myself. I switched agencies and I wasn't going to replace a two month old vest that had a 5 year or more projected lifespan. I used this stuff in it and it is absolutely fantastic. It doesn't just coat the fabric, it is actually absorbed by the fabric and sinks in to truly dye it from the inside - if you use enough. I used two cans on one vest just to be sure because $30 was cheaper than $280 to get a new carrier. I've washed my vest by hand several times and have tossed it in the washer with cold water after I started to trust that it was going to remain dyed and not bleed. It never bled at all and I've now been wearing it 2 years. Even where a get a frayed spot from heavy usage the inside of the material is black. That's how well it sinks in and dyes even on a rough material like ballistic nylon. The texture after drying is rough but it does loosen up and get softer with time and use. I compare the roughness and texture to a new pair of Dickies pants and the time to soften up with daily wear is about the same.

Painted three pieces in my interior and they turned out better than expected. It would be very difficult to tell it apart from a factory black piece, though your factory interior finish may vary. Remember to clean your panel well with alcohol or degreasing soap so it sticks well. Ive always been terrible at painting, I tend to lay my first coats on too thick and rush it. This stuff lays down incredibly flat and dries very quickly, the finish was very impressive. It goes on very thin, which is a good thing. If the piece is something you're going to put your hands on frequently, I would probably try and get multiple coats so you don't wear through it. I would be careful of splatter, I shook the cans well but still occasionally got a splatter of paint on my parts, but they actually did dry flat and didn't ruin the consistency with circles. It was very effective and I will be using it again for future products.

4 stars cause now that I know it’s cheaper at a store, I’ll be getting it there from now on. Other than that it’s awesome stuff

I have an old truck carpet looked bad seats were faded. Sprayed them down and brought them back to life.

I like the coverage but I had a lot of trouble with the spay nozzles leaking. I thought maybe it was just the first can but all 4 cans were leaking terribly. Well the 4th can the nozzle shot off when I took the lid off so that was a complete waste. It took 3 cans to cover the carpeting in an extended cab 94 Chevy S10, that's WAY more than I expected. They spray was literally running down the cans and causing drip marks all over the carpet so we had to keep going over it to cover the drips. Am I doing something wrong?? Still need to finish spraying the rest of the interior but now second guessing using this product. Any suggestions...

Worked for boat windshield blackout project makes the paint stick

I've tried a bunch of different options over the years restoring (black) motorcycle plastic parts. AutoGlym rubber restorer (liquid spray) works well when the plastic is newer (less than 10 years) and not sun faded or damaged. When the plastic parts are damaged or completely sun faded, this stuff works wonders, with a near-OEM, like-new finish. Since it's meant for fabric, the adhesion is incredible and the plastic can flex without worrying about the paint flaking off. It has very good wear and abrasion characteristics too. It's now my go-to product for doing this sort of repair & restoration.

This spray paint is the real deal! It goes on so smoothly and evenly, I was seriously impressed. The color is vibrant and looks even better than I expected. Cleanup was a breeze too, which is always a plus. Highly recommend this spray paint for any project!

I really love this paint. Used it on the console of my 1986 dodge camper van and will order more to finish the dash. Great coverage and really brought the piece up to date.
