So far, so good...
First of all, nearly all of the reviews here are NOT for this product. Most of the reviews here are for Verbatim dual layer DVD #96862, Made in Singapore. Honestly, the reviews should not have been transferred from that product to this product, which is 98319, Dual Layer DVDs made in the United Arab Emirates. I use a lot of DVD+R Dual Layer discs. Just in the past 45 days my duplicator (Epson PP-100) tells me I've run 3,637, nearly all of those dual layer. Previously I would only use Verbatim discs 96862, Made in Singapore. About three weeks ago, the availability of 96862 started becoming an issue, and the price started to spike (funny how economics works just like it is supposed to work). For a while I could get some through B&H, but then they discontinued them, so it became apparent a new, reliable disc would need to be found. I just went through my first 50 spindle of these discs (98319) and had no coasters. They worked flawlessly. I ran them at 6x. I'll test them next at 8x, but I'm optimistic they will perform well from the initial batch. As an added bonus on these discs, you can print all the way to the hub, whereas in the previous 96862 discs the print area did not extend as far to the center. I'll continue to test... and report.

Great disks
Consistently good burns from these disks and and good print quality as well. Kind of expensive, but worth it...

Verbation QA problem?
Used to be great quality blank, 0 toasters. This last batch however is not. First they do not burn at 8X but only at 4X. Write speed is uneven and drops to as low as 0.1 on ImgBurn (other than at the layer split which is normal). I use LG H20L and Pioneer 208D burners. Of the first 10 in the 50 box, 4 were bad showing a "used" message. The next 2 were OK except for the slow burn speed. Eventually I found out that the defective 4 had a promo for some Malaysian? movie company for a film named LAL Bahadoor shasthri. I hope that the rest of the blanks work but I won't know until I try them.

Most reliable printable disc
I’ve been using this company’s brand for 25 years and no one ever complained about the video not playing in their machine.

Great product
I have gone through several of these spindles. I use them for backing up data as well as distributing photos and videos to friends and family. These discs burn at full 8X with no problems: in multiple spindles, I had exactly one bad burn, easily less than 1% failure rate which I find acceptable. I have yet to hear of anyone being unable to read the discs in various computers or other devices. Every spindle I have purchased was manufactured in the UAE. It may be true that the first few batches were lower quality, but it appears that whatever problems may have plagued quality in the past are no longer there.

Print Could Be Sharper
I've been using these for a long time and never had a fail. I do use an ink jet printer and they print fine but the image isn't real sharp but adequate for my purpose. They are not water proof. I will buy more when needed.

Buyer Beware!!!
I have been using Verbatim's DVD+R DL white inkjet printable discs (# 96862) for several years. I've bought probably 25 spindles of them. I have literally gotten 100% perfect burns with entire spindles. I ALMOST ordered this "newer version" (# 98319) until I saw the "made in the United Arab Emirates" marking. I've read that these produce 1 coaster for every 3 burns. The older ones produced in Singapore are the ONLY ones to use!!! The venders that have those are pricing them 60% higher than what I had been buying them for. If you can find the older version for under $60 for 50, buy 'em. Verbatim must be like all the other corporate hacks trying to get the cheapest price at the expense of quality. WELL! I'm updating this review to admit defeat. I'm not going to pay over $100 for the older version discs, so I'm going to try these out. I will post another update after I try to burn the first 10 and see how many shiny Frisbees it get. 10/16/13 - I've attempted to burn 14 of these new 98319 discs. Out of those I've created 4 shiny round things that won't play. That's 28%. Verbatim probably doesn't give a darn about these reviews or whether their product are 100% reliable. Oh well, I could still give from $115 to $240 for the original 96862 disc. Naw! I'll just try to find a reliable replacement. 12/8/13 Update - These newer # 98319 discs are pure junk! Out of the first (and only) 50, 24 have been unusable and every, yes EVERY other one has bad sectors, they skip, pixelate and pause unexplainably. Don't believe 90% of the reviews here. They ARE NOT for this 98319 disc. As is usual, most of the reviews are for another previously reviewed model. I have always been a Verbatim fan. I'm DONE!

Definitivamente es un must para las personas que se dedican a hacer entregarles con DVD todavía, es mucho mayor la calidad de una entrega con uno de estos discos que con uno comprado en tienda departamental. Buen precio.

Review about the shipping, not the product. The spindle of discs were sent in an padded envelope and was crushed during shipping. The discs appear to be ok, but the spindle isn't. Many pieces of plastic ended up in the mess of discs but none of them appear to be damaged. As for the product, I've never had an issue with this brand and have only used this brand for the last 20 years from CD-R to DVD+RL, and all types in between, minus DVD-RAM.

These produce high quality burn, none have failed out of my first 20 burned. Stick with these DataLifeSeries and stay away from LifeSeries
