As usual, Rao's is outstanding sauce, no sugar, added chives, a little olive oil and uncured pork sausage and lean hamburger, not acidic, did not have to add baking soda to kill any acid. It is rich and thick and this size of 40 oz. was a good price! So great to get this delivered when it's cold outside, spaghetti hits the spot and Amazon delivery people have been champs in my area!

Rao’s pasta sauce is now my favorite brand! I just finished a jar of the delicious Marinara sauce and just bought a jar of the Basil and Tomato. I have tried so many brands, but Rao’s tastes the freshest and the most like home made sauce. It is on the expensive side, but to me the extra cost is worth it!

The sauce is some of the best jarred tomato sauce you can buy. The flavor and quality of the ingredients is unrivaled. That being said, only two of them arrived intact. One of them opened in the box and got all over a whole bunch of other stuff I ordered. They do not package it well and you have a 50-50 chance it's not going to make it in the delivery. I will not order it online again.

Love, Love this sauce! It is made from olive oil instead of soy oil. I am to stay clear of soy. i believe this is about the most healthy sauce out there full of flavor. it has chunks of tomato and it is a thick sauce. the smell is great too!

It's not too sweet and not too salty—it just tastes like high-quality Italian tomatoes. Texture & "Cling": Some jarred sauces are watery or too chunky, but this has a silky, emulsified texture that actually clings to the pasta instead of puddling at the bottom of the bowl. Pure Ingredients: You can actually see the bits of garlic and herbs. It doesn’t have that "processed" aftertaste you get with cheaper supermarket brands. The "Subscribe & Save" Factor: It is definitely more expensive than your average sauce, but since it's the only one everyone in the house actually agrees on, we put it on Subscribe & Save. It's cheaper than a night of takeout, and the quality makes a 10-minute pasta dinner feel like a restaurant meal. Bottom Line: If you're on the fence about the price, just try one jar. It ruined other store-bought sauces for us!

Good flavor. I'm trying different ones, and this is good one. Does the job for adding to pastas.
