Perrigo 10% Benzoyl Peroxide Acne Treatment Gel 2.1 oz

I recently started on testosterone shots and while it has been way too many years since I've been a teenager, the shots started to break out my chest, back, and upper arms with acne (cysts mainly). For the long time I could control them decently with salicylic acid - however it took weeks to get rid of some of the larger (4-6mm) cysts. I used washes as well as wipes and creams. Upon a recent visit with my physician, he advised a few things: 1. Do not use Rubbing Alcohol to clean pimples (it creates inflammation/swelling) 2. Salicylic Acid is more a preventer of new acne 3. Use Benzoyl Peroxide to get rid of stubborn acne 4. A good regimen of antibiotics will clear most breakouts (along with a reduction in testosterone) I received the Perrigo Benzoyl Peroxide in the mail 2 days ago and I am amazed at how quickly it worked. Literally overnight, 6-7 areas of my body improved at least 50% (meaning smaller, less red, and less inflamation/pain). Those same areas (now on day 3) are almost completely gone. I expect by tomorrow, they will be gone. My son has breakouts as well and I am planning on having him use some tonight. My hope is to get photos of the before and after - if I am able to, I will update this post with those. I could not be more pleased with the strength and efficacy is perfect for me. However, my only use is on my body at this point. I know that Benzoyl Peroxide can cause stinging and redness with some people. So, while the strength is good for what I am using it for, if you are using it on areas of your face (do not use on eyes, nose, and mouth), you may want a lessor strength than 10%.

Good for helping with large pores. I don't have acne but do have large pores and get those nasty things we don't want to talk about on the sides of my nose at the nostrils from makeup. Using this benzoyl peroxide at night PROBLEM SOLVED. I only use it in my oily areas and have never experienced any side effects. If you pair this with Diferin gel and had acne I imagine this would increase your way to clear skin. I'm no Dr. but it makes sense to me. But do your homework.

Great product for my face that has been breaking out with acne like crazy. Really noticed a decrease in inflammation and size overnight. Only complaint is that it can cause your skin to get very dry and irritated but other than that it’s fantastic!

Me compré este peróxido de benzoilo al 10% porque sufro de brotes de acné, sobre todo cuando estoy por bajarme o en esos días del mes donde la piel se me altera más. La verdad es que me ha funcionado muy bien. Cuando me sale algún grano, me lo aplico y al día siguiente ya amanece mucho más desinflamado y con menos rojez. Siento que ayuda bastante a secar los brotes rápido y a mejorar la piel. Es un producto efectivo y lo recomiendo totalmente si tienes acné ocasional o brotes hormonales como en mi caso.

It works amazing, as someone who struggles with hidradenitis suppurativa it has helped with breakouts. But product did not come sealed and looked used.

Packed nicely, works effectively it’s really good.

I use it as spot treatment for my acne, as well as around my nose and chin where I do tend to get more blackheads and acne. It does not irritate my skin and I could use it alongside my tretinoin at night. One tube could also last a long time and is pretty cost effective, all things considered.
