Will this work on a 10V power source?

Thats just 2v short of 12...should be ok.

Can I power the switch/receiver with a 12volt car battery?

I can't find a maximum amperage rating for the operating voltage. It has an impressive switch amperage rating, but a 12 volt car battery may overload the control electronics. I use a 12V 7 - 12 AmpHr battery with mine with no worries. A motorcycle or Lawn Mower sized battery would be the largest I'd use without fear of frying it.

Will this work with very low amp speaker wire for a thermostat to the furnace or is that not strong enough power?? 2 aaa battery source..Thank you

As specified… this requires 12v dc so no 2 aaa will not power this unit

Do these remotes have a on/off switch on the side or safety switch ?
