Noticeable Performance Increase
This Intel Core2 Duo T9300 CPU breathed new life into an older Dell Inspiron 1420 laptop computer running Windows XP Service Pack 3! The performance increase was amazing and delightful! The T9300 CPU fit perfectly into the Intel P-Type socket on the 1420's motherboard, and was instantly recognized by the computer during the next boot-up. The package even included a tube of thermal paste, which was just perfect for the smaller-size T9300 chip and heat sink. Not only was the usable service life of this older Dell laptop computer significantly extended, but this computer now performs like a higher-end computer running Windows 7 or 10. Definitely worth the investment!

Great upgrade for Lenovo G530/446-35U
Original t4200 processor was sluggish under Win 7... this seems to have helped immensely. This is a 800Mhz bus processor - great update/compatible with the chipset in the G530. Steps for the G530 (try to keep yourself 'grounded' to reduce static electricity): * Update the bios to the latest (from the Lenovo website) * power off and unplugged, take the 2 screws off the large panel * remove the 4 screws on the CPU's heat sink, and carefully remove heat sink - clean old heat sink compound (white) from heat sink * turn screw on CPU socket (until it reaches its stop) to release old CPU - note which corner of the CPU has the arrow, and lift it out (will be very easy to lift) * put new processor in (keeping orientation the same - there is an arrow in one corner of the CPU - should be in same direction as original), and tighten screw until it hits its stop. * put Artic Silver 5 (or other good heat compound) in the CPU/heat sink, and put heat sink in place with the 4 CPU screws. * carefully put the back cover back on - hook one side, then press cover in, and tighten 2 screws. The original CPU was giving me a Win7 CPU score of 5.1 - new processor gives me 6.1, and feels much faster.

Needs safer packageing
Product arrived earlier than originally predicted which is always a good thing. Product did appear to be new but one of the pins on the bottom was bent enough to where it would not drop into the slot. It was not bent bad enough to where it was unrepairable. With some delicate maneuvering and about 15 minutes I was able to bend it back enough to where it would slid in with a little more force than should normally be used. The product works great and the only reason they get 4 stars is because of the bent pin. I believe they could package the product better to avoid any bent pins in the future.
