great little gadget really works attached to log burner chimney and we were able to maintain and keep a more even temperature.nice neat size with bright red to let you know when it was getting too hot, really accurate. would reccomend it for durability and value for money

Works ok, once set.
Arrived with the needle at twelve o'clock, if yours is the same don't try and move the needle. Rotate the three metal tabs in the back so the neede points to the bottom of the cold end of the scale. You can do this with finger pressure. I'm not sure why it was set like this. Anyway, once I set it it works fine, and is reasonably accurate.

Great product, easy to fix, magnetically attaches to the flue so you can “tune” your wood burner to optimal efficiency, reducing the effect of carbon residue in the flue .

It does it’s job perfectly!
The thermometer both looks nice and does its job. With the attached magnet it’s a breeze to get it mounted. Also, it is ”calibrated” correctly. When tested against other thermometers it is close enough. There is some delay since it does not measure the smoke temperature directly, which is to be expected. But it is a very good indicator for a clean burn. So I am very happy with my purchase and would both buy it again and wholeheartedly recommend it.
