These are the best things I've ever played. I ordered them expecting only to get strings that made less squeak noise. To my delight they are more than that. 1. The tone from these strings is amazing, with beautiful, rich warm tones but not too dark. 2. They feel great. Very smooth. 3. Virtually no left hand squeak noise. 4. With their gold/copper hue they look fairly good. They come with 2 G strings, a composite and a clear nylon. The composite is not bad but I prefer the clear nylon. The basses steal the show, but the trebles are very nice. I highly recommend these strings.

I recently bought a set of D'Addario Pro Arte EJ46LP Hard Tension Classical guitar strings on Amazon. My main reason for purchasing them was to try out the lightly polished silverplated bass strings which when they are broken in have a very beautiful tone, & have little or no string noise when playing, so if you want to record they are ideal.The trebles are great as well. They are well worth the money (& on Amazon they are cheaper!)and last 2-3 times longer than other strings. I will purchase them again.

I've only been using them for a short while so I can't speak to the longevity or durability. They sound good and they play well. Although the strings aren't completely ground smooth they're still much smoother to play than the traditional wound strings. Much less shriek and screech when you slide on the strings.

These strings are polished to a degree that the silver coating is nearly all gone. The d-string looks like a copper telephone wire. It affects the sound and feel of play in a way that makes them unusable. Innovation is great, but they are trying way too hard with this particular item. However, D'Addario's customer service was great and they are helping me find a better set.

As a genera rule, I like and use D'Addario strings for my classical guitar. I tried these out because I read a great interview with Classical guitar virtuoso John Williams (not the Hollywood composer, the guitarist). Your strings should not sound like squeaky sneakers on a basketball court and I seldom hear a squeak out of John William's recording or performance. . I typically can use this for 4-6 months of continuous us before they become dull. The EJ46 Hard Tension strings are typically a good choice and brand in general for classical guitar. Highly recommend!

These strings produce a clear sound with little unwanted bass noise. The intonation of the regular G string is great! Next time, I am going to try the extra hard tension to see if response time is even faster. They sound wonderful on a very inexpensive guitar, so I'm eager to try them on my better one.

An excellent string, deep bass, bright trebles, quiet on the fingers.

It comes with two G strings: .0410 and .0370. But then, once you open the plastic bag, it doesn't tell you on the string which one is which. Am I supposed to buy a machine that can measure the diameters to find out or should I train my eyes to be able to see the difference? I was needing the .0410 for my Godin guitar and never figured it out. If it weren't for that, I would have given it a higher rating.

La terza corda sostitutiva la raccomando assolutamente.

Bonjour Excellentes cordes pour guitare classique, plus ou très peu de bruits de doigts. Installées sur une Cordoba C9 Parlor, elles ont été essayées par un guitariste expérimenté qui lui aussi les a trouvées excellentes. Je trouve que les aigues se desaccordent rapidement par rapport aux graves, mais elles sont installées depuis peu, cela devrait s'équilibrer.

Ich hatte diese Saiten eine lange Zeit, bin dann aber zu anderen gewechselt, weil ich neugierig war. Nun bin ich wieder zurück, obwohl der Preis zwischenzeitlich deutlich gestiegen ist. Aber es sind einfach "meine" Saiten. Die ersten Tage klingen sie nicht besonders. Aber wenn sie sich dann eingespielt haben ... der Hammer! Gespielt auf "Ramirez Cedar Anos 125".

J'avais hésité longtemps avant d'acquérir une guitare électro-acoustique à cordes nylon car j'étais perturbé par les bruits parasites provoqués par les déplacements de doigts sur les cordes graves qui étaient vraiment très audibles et dérangeants. Avec ces cordes, ce problème est en grande partie résolu .

I like these strings and have been using them for years despite their high price. They are more expensive than comparable strings because the "lightly polished" (LP) finish on the wound strings means the make a lot less noise when you slide your fingers along them. I'm assured that makes them particularly suitable for recording; not a concern of mine, but I appreciate having to worry much less about that extraneous noise. Some people like the sound of fingers sliding along the strings when the player changes left hand position. These strings are for everyone else. I find these strings hold their pitch well and have a good playing life. (I have no way of quantifying that; it depends how much and how hard you play.) These strings do require some playing in. I would avoid using them in public for the first day or two. You may feel differently; I think the basses sound too twangy until they have been played for a while. These strings come with a composition third string. A singe filament of something other than the standard nylon. I'm happy with that, but if you are not then you can use the standard nylon string that the maker packs with each set as an alternative. (I'm still looking for something useful to do with thoswe spare 3rd strings.)
