How wide is the straps ?

It's 1.55" wide. Thank you for the question.

I need a strap that is 2" wide (not the buckle) and 18" in length. Do they make this strap that is 2 inches wide?

It is pretty short. I needed 2 to strapped in my feet to my slide come to think of it I needed 2 to hold it. Here I'll let you decide in my pic.

Is the nonvelcro side soft? Could one wear it against the wrist?

It is a strap. some what rough and probably itchy after wearing for awhile.
