This hip ice pack is great. It stays cold forever, if you’re having hip issues you should definitely try this. It molds to your hip unlike regular ice packs.

Replaced ice machine after hip surgery and this worked so much better,portable, easy to set up for use, and I got 2 to rotate every 20 min. On 20 min off.

Bought this for recovery from hip replacement. It worked so well I bought another so I could rotate them. They stay cold for over an hour, more than enough time for 20 min on/20min off protocol. They do take about 2-3 hours to become totally frozen but can be used sooner than that. The velcro straps are ample for fitting properly and keeping it in place. The reason for -1 star is that when they are totally frozen they are a bit hard and not very pliable which can be uncomfortable on sensitive areas. They do warm up and become pliable quickly though.

This has been very helpful after my hip surgery, because I can walk around or sit wearing this gel pack . Just refreeze it and reapply it again. I highly recommend it, and it stays cool for at least 30 minutes .

I recently had surgery and needed to have an ice pack. The machine i received from the hospital was great. I couldn't walk around with it. This simply velcros together around your waist and thigh. Easy to put on even when is pain. The freezing time last at least 30 minutes..maybe more (haven't timed it but easily 30 minutes). Extremely comfortable when using the soft side. It covered my whole hip and upper thighs which was incredible. Best ice pack to use when you need to walk around.

So this pack hits a lot of good points. My wife has been using it to strap to herself after a hip replacement. So she walks around with it on to keep swelling down. For that purpose, this is great. It's light weight, is reasonably pliable when its frozen and stays in place once you figure out the straps. The bad points, however, outweigh those good points. This pack is very thin so it doesn't retain cold very well at all. It also develops a ton of condensation on the outside, which is annoying enough that I have to give it a good wipe down before I throw it in the freezer and it still comes out with a thin layer of frost on the outside that I then have to wipe off to keep my wife from getting soaked. So overall it's fine, but I feel like this should have more gel in it, but the material itself feels pretty durable. Just doesn't stay cold for any length of time.

I am so happy that I bought this for after surgery, stays cold for a long time and doesn't take that long to refreeze. Also its big enough to cover the whole part of my hip and incision. Great product

It works. Based on reviews, I was worried itd be rock solid after freezing and hard to mold to my hip but im not quite sure why people having that experience, even after 2-3 hours in the freezer, it was fine. Straps perfectly. Sweats the normal amount- i find that when ice packs don’t, they dont stay cold for long. I just put a towel and sit on it and wear joggings underneath. Perfect for hip pain or post op. You can walk with it.

Worth the purchase for anyone requiring a well designed ice-pack. Ive just had hip surgery and its a well used item here.

It’s a good size for the hip and freezes quickly - very effective. The straps are good but they are a bit short around the waist for plus size - I’m size 22 and they only just make it. Also the ‘tabs’ at the sides that the straps go through are hard plastic that can be uncomfortable if you don’t get the position right.
