Fun World Kids Bobble Eyes Pumpkin Costume

I had read many reviews on this (and other) kids costumes before purchasing. There were other costumes my 11 year old son wanted more, but they all had terrible reviews. We discussed it and he understood the benefit of researching reviews prior to purchasing so he actually gets what he wants and is not disappointed. He was so excited for this to arrive and we were both pleasantly surprised with the quality of the product in general. I will break down the items included in specific: 1. Mask - This is firm pressed Styrofoam well painted and very cool. You look out through the mouth which masks the eyes with black mesh. As the other reviews we read stated, the foam padding is VERY thin where the mask presses against the wearer's face. The included padding is like the very thin foam on some dry cleaners hangers (VERY VERY thin). This will need to be modified to be worn comfortably, but we knew that would be the case from other reviews. Given it was a known required modification, the mask is VERY cool. Keep in mind since the mask is painted Styrofoam it is reasonably durable, but with abuse from kids this age level, could peel, dent or chip. So far, ours remains just fine. 2. Mask hood - this heavy flannel hood fits over the mask and Velcro's to the mask's "chin" to close off the neck. Better than expected quality. 3. Robe - Same thick flannel material as the hood, with a tie behind the neck. Again better than expected quality and the effect of the coloring is kinda cool on the robe and hood. 4. Gloves - Very cool long pointy gloves - my son loves them! Basic costume quality, but a very nice touch to include them. 5. Rope Belt - What is there to say, it is a rope used as a belt. it is not too long and not too short, again, a simple but good effect, and nice that it is included. Your kid only needs clothes underneath and shoes! Nothing more to add, although (of course) mine wants a weapon of some sort as an accessory. I really like the quality and coolness factor of this costume, even though it needs minor mask padding mods to be perfect. What I like also is that this is one cool, scary costume WITHOUT any blood, guts, or gruesome qualities. If you are ok with hot gluing a little extra padding inside the mask, buy this costume, it really is a very cool and unique one!

The Robe and Hood are absolutely fantastic (teeny bit itchy, but super warm). My son loves the gloves. The fingertips are very cool, and he can put them on/take them off himself without too much hassle. Big plus for mom. We purchased a medium and he is 7 and it fits great. He's a bit on the short/slender side, and this doesn't fall off like some costumes, while also fitting his 9yr old brother, who is short but stocky.The mask is made of foam so its lightweight, but doesn't have the "cheap" look at all. They look/breathe out of some mesh on the mouth, and my son said the mask made him sweaty (show me a mask that wouldn't). It's a very cool visual, although we did some modifications to our mask, its spooky all on its own!

This costume is amazing! I highly recommend to it to all you moms out there! First, it's very simple. Second, the mask is made out of a foam and it's not one of those rubber masks that the kids get so hot in. They stay cool and comfortable in this one. AND, here's the kicker -- it is the coolest costume out there. You can't really appreciate it online completely. The eyes really glow at night and -- bar none -- EVERYONE said to my son -- that is the SCARIEST costume I have seen tonight. I thought his little head my burst with pride by the time we got home. The only teeny tiny issue was that after 2 hours of trick or treating (yes we are dedicated trick or treaters) the front of the mask started to bother his forehead. It needs a little cushioning there or something. I hope the designer of this costume reads this review because I want to thank that person for giving my son a SPECTACULAR Halloween!!

My son chose this for his Halloween costume & it's a great quality product, looks just like it does in the photo, the reason for 4 stars is the mask portion is a bit uncomfortable as the strap is not adjustable, it's made for tiny heads & is slightly too snug for my 6 yr old's head. The strap came across his ears crushing them (some type of padding will be used to alleviate this on Halloween night). My advice would be to find an elastin strap like the strap that is attatched to the mask & cut the strap on the mask & sew the additional strap onto it to accommodate your child's head so they can wear it comfortabley. I thought the pumpkin mask was going to be pliable latex/rubber or cloth but it is thick, hard styrofoam. Also, the velcro attatched to the hood is utterly useless. I personally would not have paid more than what I did which was $38.54 & free shipping. It's a $30-$40 costume for sure but not worth more than $40. The medium was a good fit for my 6 yr old who is 51 inches tall.

Oh my goodness fabulous!. I bought this costume for my 8 year grandson. I researched numerous costumes and read their reviews. The previous reviews for this product were very helpful. He was so happy with his costume. The pumpkin head will rub the child’s forehead but is easily prevented with with your own creativity. You can use a headband, bandanna, or anything like that to prevent the friction of the pumpkin head. The robe is a nice thick material with a nice cord to tie at the waist. My grandson was able to wear his jeans, tennis shoes, and sweatshirt underneath and stayed toasty warm in the cool weather. He was able to see well out of the pumpkin head. He loved the gloves and how they made his fingers looked. Everyone loved his costume. People stopped him and commented on how awesome the look was. However, it did frighten a few younger girls. He was thrilled with his costume!! Great buy! Thanks for making grandmommy’s gift so awesome!

This costume is the greatest my son loved it. I ordered the 10/12 he is in size 6 so this covered his feet with room to pull it up a little The clothing part runs a little big depending on the size u get but i think bigger is always better the mask fits great comes with a chin cushion so it was so comfortable for my son it even came with a head strap which kept it secure comes with a tie rope for the waist and gloves they run a little to big si i would say tie something around them to hold them on it comes with a velcro hood that is a big plus so anyone look fro a good costume this is it the wyes evan move around i thaught thatvwas so cool !

FANTASTIC costume! This is fun, scary, but not gory! Perfect for my 11 year old son. The mask is foam, so it is easily scratched revealing the underlying white foam, but nothing a little orange and black Crayola marker doesn't fix easily (dab a little of the marker on the scratched spot, then wipe away quickly to blend!). It looks brand new with each marker fix! I also love that it is warm, perfect for our cold Octobers here!

Came scrached. Nice costume but can get damaged very easy. Its a bit uncomfortable to wear for my son. But I'll figure something else. The padding inside is a bit rough. So I have to add something softer so that he doesnt get a blister/scratch on his forhead like the other reviews. Again I'll figure something else. My son is 7 years old and it fit him well.

Loved it! The eyes weren’t really yellow so my son was a tad bit disappointed but all in all great costume!

Great quality, easy to wear and great for putting over coats etc if weather is cold on Halloween. My son got complements at every door he went to on his costume! We had to add a piece of foam to back of mask where it sit on his face for comfort but not a huge deal!
