Seresto Cat Vet-Recommended Flea & Tick Treatment & Prevention Collar for Cats

I don’t normally write Amazon reviews, but I felt compelled to write about these. We have three indoor/outdoor cats and have had bad flea problems. I’ve tried all the topical solutions. I didn’t really want to spend the money on these collars. They seemed extremely expensive. But I have to say, after about a month, the flea problem is gone. Going from picking up to 20 fleas off one cat per day down to none, the money is well spent! They have not broken off yet and hopefully will stay attached for the next few months. Definitely worth it!

I love these flea and ticked collars. I keep them on subscribe and save for every 7 months as they are recommended to be changed. At first, they seem pricey, but once you figure the monthly cost to other treatments, this is an excellent deal, especially for how effective they are. I have five indoor outdoor cats and have never had fleas in my home. I do occasionally find a tick on my cats but i'm not sure that any treatment can claim to be 100% tick proof. I have used these for years and have never had any side effects to my pets, or to the people living in my house that pet the cats. I love that there is no greasiness left on my cat like topical treatments, and I appreciate that the caller does not have a foul smell like other flea collars. They fit very snugly.I have never had a cat lose one of these collars. They are very easy to apply and trim the excess with scissors. I greatly recommend these.I like that they are effective for 7 monthsb because I would never be able to remember to put a topical treatment on every month for each of my cats. I can apply this and forget about it until my next shipment shows up with the confidence that my cats are protected.

I love this cat color it is the fifth or six time I have ordered one. It does exactly what it says lasts for eight months. I know I kept track on the calendar. Has no scent and doesn’t bother my cat at all. Goes on easily I just trim off the excess thats on the end. 1000 times better and subjecting my Animal to eating a poisonous cube did the vet prescribes. My cat is happy and I never see a flea. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a dependable cat collar.

Seems to work as advertised so far this summer. No fleas of ticks on our outdoor cat this summer. Haven’t had it long enough to know if it really works for the 7 month it claims (only been in use for about 2 months) so may update this review as time passes. I usually had bought cheaper flea/tick collars that only lasted 3-4 months but wanted to get a stronger one since we had noticed a few ticks last summer. Our cat seems to tolerate the collar well with no skin irritations.

We like everything EXCEPT the poor functionality of the clipping mechanism of clips to allow our cat to be more visible at night.

Only flea treatment that has worked 100% for my cats. They have to be tight enough to touch the skin to be fully effective. My cats have had no reactions, very simple to use they can be hard to tighten so I try to get them ready before I put them on by tightening them about half way and giving some treats for there patience, no real smell, it dose feel a bit powdery when it’s first opened but all and all my cats seem comfortable and the fleas are gone!!

This is freaking amazing! My cat is an indoor outdoor cat. He has long fur on top of that. Before I found about Seresto, I’ve been using advantage. Advantage is pretty expensive. Four dosages and it costed me the same price as a seresto. What’s worst it only works on fleas and not ticks. I didn’t know about the no tick part until this year. As the weather gets warmer, my cat stays outside longer. He came back with one or two ticks for three days straight. I never have a flea or tick problem until now. Thats when I found out that advantage doesn’t take care of the ticks. It also doesn’t help that my cat has long fur so it’s even harder to spot them. I tried to thoroughly check his coat everyday but I’m worried that what if I miss one. Worse is what if he brings them home and gets it on the bed or something. I did a lot of digging around and see that the ones that does kill ticks are either prescribed by vets or have a relatively low ratings. Then I stumble on Seresto. I heard a lot of people didn’t like it because their cats have adverse reactions to it. I was worried an about the same thing but then say why not try it out. Ever since I got seresto, I have not seen a single tick! I checked the skin around his collar just in case his skin is irritated but so far, roughly 1 month in…no adverse reactions. It works amazing. I put it underneath his other collar and make sure that neither one is too tight. I highly recommend this especially to cats who spend time outdoor. It gives me a lot of reassurance. Helps protect not only your cat but you as well. The price is actually not bad considering that it last 8 months. That’s half the price I would have paid had I use other treatments. I do want to say that you should monitor your cat the first few days to be sure it’s safe for your cat to use. While my cat was fine with it, it could be different for you.

So far great! The Seresto collar is worth the price!
