SneakPeek Early Gender Test Review: Predicted a boy. Ultrasound confirmed it a boy. - So the test predicted correctly. Since that's the main concern of the product, I'll review the actual method of the test kit. What I liked: they gave you instructions. Everything you needed was included. And a few extra needles and swabs just in case (I ended up needing multiple needles). It informed you to thoroughly sanitize the area and everything you touch, because male DNA, even on something as simple as the faucet handle, could mess it up. It was easy to do for the most part. Instructions were easy to read. What I didn't like: the final steps said to prick your finger with the needle. Seems easy enough. But I had SO much trouble getting the right angle. The instructions said to puncture along the grooves of your main 3 fingers. First I did the ring. Barely any blood came out. It maybe filled... 1/4 the vial before drying up. The 2nd one I did was my index. Same thing. I started to panic at this point because you have a limited amount of time to fill the vial, and I had only filled it 1/2 way up. I used the last needle on my middle finger, slightly in the middle. That did it... too much. Blood shot out everywhere and filled the vial, and got on the floor, on my clothes, on my fabric chairs... it looked like a crime scene. So after filling the vial, which was starting to dry out because it had been so long, I ran to get a paper towel and had to clean up blood EVERYWHERE. so what I didn't like about the product is how hard it is to find the right spot to get enough blood, and how the instructions aren't very clear on WHERE to poke yourself. They include a picture that says slightly off to the side, but it's a very not-detailed picture. Other than that, it did what it was supposed to for me. Review: Worked for us & great for people ....if your going to trust the results - A friend recommended SneakPeek to me, as her results were correct. I debated purchasing it as the reviews are minimal and the price is a little steep (only if the results are inaccurate). Because of the positive reviews I read, I went for it. Keep in my mind all my ordering and sending back is during peek holiday season. I ordered the test 11/22 and received the test 11/25. I took the test at exactly 9 weeks + 1 day. I did not open the package until my husband wasn't home and I could perform the test by myself. I even put my boy dog in the back bedroom because I wasn't sure if his DNA would affect the test. They should note if pet DNA could affect the test! I changed into clean clothes, put out clean dish towels, and put anything that has a lot of my husbands DNA on it (sweater, hat, etc.) away. I didn't want to take any chances. I disinfected the kitchen counter and laid all of the test instruments directly on the counter, all while washing my hands multiple times. The instructions are clear, I didn't have any trouble understanding how to perform the test. What I did have trouble with, was collecting my blood sample. It took me all three pricks and three different fingers to get my blood to the minimum line. A huge recommendation - follow the things they recommend about increasing blood flow (drinking water, putting your hands under hot water, opening and closing your fists, pointing your finger downward, massaging your finger, etc.) I didn't at first and for the life of me could not get one drop into the collecting tube. Eventually I did, and I packaged everything up and threw away the stuff that was used and not needed anymore. I put my package in the mail on 12/2 (same day I collected my sample) and received the result (a girl) on 12/6. We are excited, but skeptical of it's accuracy. Almost makes me wonder whether this was more stress questioning if we should get excited or not! I will edit the review later on in the pregnancy when the gender is confirmed via ultrasound. For now 5 stars, because no issues so far. Edit: 5 stars because SneakPeek was right, we are having a girl confirmed 100 percent via 4d ultrasound. While I will list 5 stars because it worked for us, I would not use SneakPeek for a second pregnancy because all I did in the weeks after getting my result from them, and before my ultrasound, was worry it was wrong. It may be better for others, but I didn't believe it 100 percent.

Accurate for our girl when used at 10 weeks.
SNEAK PEEK - PLEASE change the order of your instructions or make it more clear that you need the barcode on the box before you seal up the product in the mailer! I had to rip open my mailer to get the barcode so that I could register it on the website. Beyond that, this product is a miracle for someone who wants to know the sex of their baby early. I used mine at 10.5 weeks, the week during the holidays, and I got my results about 5 days later on a Saturday. The sex of my baby was confirmed at a later chromosome test done by my doctor. I did the test at home. The lancing of my finger was super easy...I did make a little mess getting blood into the vial but it didn't take too long to fill...THEN I dropped the dang thing and blood went everywhere! I had to keep squeezing my finger to refill the thing. And of course I was worried that I'd compromised the test. My finger hurt for another week because I had to fill the vial twice but that is my fault. I went into this preparing myself that if I got a girl result, I could trust it about 90% and if I got a boy result, I could trust it less, maybe 60%. That's based on reading the reviews here on Amazon and some googling. I was so happy when I got my result but I didn't fully trust the results until they were confirmed, so I'd advise future mothers considering SP to be aware of that. You may not be able to trust the results entirely based on everything I've read...but it's FAR more accurate than everything else out there (ramzi, nub, skull, heartbeat etc...those are all old wives tales) I would do this again in a heartbeat.

Do not buy!! Scam company
Current update nearly two weeks after sending my sample in. 9/10/23: Finally got to talk to customer service tuesday 9/5/23 and they would only send me a new test and not refund since it was through Amazon. Why would I want to go through this experience again!! -But they mailed me one, & Still took 4 days to get the new test and it was put in the local parcel box not delivered to my door. After they said it would be mailed priority same day. But the day after(9/7/23) I got a notification from my original sample saying it was finally being shipped, 10 days after I gave it to usps. My original sample arrived Friday 9/8/23 at their center in San Diego. Their policy states that once the sample is received you’ll get an email showing it’s being processed the same day. I never got an email! No surprise there, I contacted all points of contact with them again. But once again no response from anyone and the company online chat was still closed all day!!! Now their website policy for results states you get your results by 2pm the following day, which the still process samples on Saturdays according to their website. And guess what, no surprise!! No results!! No email! Nothing! Every promise and policy listed on Amazon and their website is lies, ontop of the shipping issues that delayed my sample nearly two weeks. And horrible! Horrible! Zero customer zero responses! *so at this point I’m gonna contact them again and ask for a manger or supervisor, if I ever get ahold of someone as their online chat never is on, and you can only schedule a customer service rep to call you. Hoping I eventually get my money back!! Amazon still won’t do anything about it. Updated my review because it’s day five since my results were mailed in and I have no results back. I’ve contacted there support team for two days and not one response. There chat box never is online and never lets u actually talk to someone. I even contacted the instagram because they responded quickly when I first ordered and now they don’t respond. I even emailed the email I got from someone who works there and no response. This is all very frustrating and upsetting. I wouldn’t of ordered it if I knew it wouldn’t be done on time like they said. And ontop of it the tracking on the shipping label to send your blood test to them doesn’t show any updates for me. So I don’t know where my test is or when I’ll ever (if I do) get my results. I don’t recommend buying from them. Original review 8/22/23: I ordered this and it came in the mail within 4 hours after ordering it. Everything came sealed and organized, instructions were very clear. As a phlebotomist myself I’m very happy with the instructions for proper sanitation and info they give to not cross contaminate. Especially when I have my husband and son and two male dogs in the house. I made sure to sanitize my area 3 times, and personally too the extra step and laid out a Sanipad to ensure a clean area. After I washed my hands and laid everything out on my sanipad. I then washed my hands three times with antibacterial soap and the scrub brush that’s included. Then I used the alcohol wipe included and some I had at home to sanitize the tips of my fingers before touching the Lancet. I was a little excessive with my cleanliness but I want to ensure 100% that I did the most I could to get correct results with all the males in my home. Although u don’t have to do what I did. Following their instructions given is plenty to give a accurate result in my opinion. I’m very happy that everything is include in one box including shipping label. It only took me 2 minutes to collect the sample (I’m used to doing finger pricks) and the sample was full. I sealed everything up and packaged it up and shipped it off. Excited for the results in a few days!!! I highly recommend as this is ten times easier than going to a lab or ultrasound and much faster.

Exciting Early Gender Reveal!
I recently purchased the SneakPeek DNA Test Gender Prediction kit, and I couldn't be happier with the results. I came across their account on Instagram around 8 weeks into my pregnancy. It’s our first pregnancy so we were eager to use this kit to find out the gender! The process was straightforward, and the fact that lab fees were included made it even more convenient. The kit came with everything I needed, including clear instructions. I did have some trouble with the finger prick, but I attribute that mostly to user error… The blood pooled under my nails (they warn about avoiding this in the instructions), so I would just cut your nails if you are not used to giving blood samples this way. What truly impressed me was the 99.9% accuracy claimed by SneakPeek. We won’t know for sure until we are tested by our doctor, but based on all of the other reviews, I feel confident that it will up to its promise. If their results were not accurate, I think we’d see a lot more reviews stating so. I received my results 2 days after mailing, and the excitement of knowing whether I was having a boy or a girl early on in my pregnancy was priceless. If you're eager to find out your baby's gender without the wait, I highly recommend the SneakPeek DNA Test Gender Prediction kit!

Reliable and accurate test for us!
I can't praise this test or the company highly enough! I took the test at 9w and had quite a time getting enough blood necessary for processing during the time period specified -- mine actually clotted before the collection was complete, so I had little faith it would be usable. Sure enough, the company emailed me to let me know my sample couldn't be used, but to my surprise, they mailed me another kit free of charge, with expedited processing! This was such a pleasant surprise for me, because not many companies would go above and beyond like that. To increase my chances of success when collecting the blood sample, I used a slightly different strategy for the second kit. I have a small frame, so the enclosed tourniquet provided little to no constriction for me. I supplemented its effect by adding a rubber band -- snug but not TOO tight. I set a kitchen timer to help me be mindful of the recommended collection time, and I also used the lancets to prick one finger twice. These methods helped a lot, and just a few short days later, my husband and I were thrilled to receive an email stating IT'S A GIRL! This early notice enabled me to shop a seasonal consignment sale for everything our daughter will need, and a later ultrasound at 16w clearly confirmed the Sneak Peek test results as being correct! For those with concerns about the accuracy of this test, please note that I took the test in the kitchen while both my husband and son were home, but I cleaned and disinfected the area according to the Sneak Peek info, and everything went fine. Also, I've read several negative reviews of this test, and I know it can be hard to decide whether to trust and buy when there's both 5 star and 1 star reviews for a product. My best guess is that some of the negative reviews were perhaps posted as a result of using the Sneak Peek test before it was updated and improved. The old test required just a drop of blood on a card, which is a method relying on far less DNA material as well as being more likely to be contaminated by male DNA in the environment. The newer test requires collection of a small amount of blood in a sealed container, which is far more reliable and accurate. I hope my review is helpful to those of you considering this test -- go for it!

Good kit, lot of room for user error so be careful.
I'm reviewing this *before* I receive the results, just so I can remember my thoughts on the actual collection process. I'll update once I get the results and see if the ultrasound at 20 weeks matches. We have two boys and my husband living in the home so I was really careful about following directions. I figure if it shows girl, then it's really a girl. If it shows boy, I will assume boy but wait to announce until the 20 week ultrasound, just because there's so much possibility for contamination, even following the directions. This isn't the fault of the company, it's more user error (and it would be really easy to have some error, just because this isn't the more effective way of collecting blood without contamination). But here's some thoughts on the collection process: 1. I have pretty short nails but I wish I'd cut them really short before doing this. You need to scrub under your nails really well to remove any male DNA. 2. Don't skip steps for the prepping the surface you're using or for washing your hands. You're trying to get male DNA off. If you miss scrubbing even a small area of your hand (get between your fingers, etc etc) then you could throw off test results. I also washed the handle on my sink faucet with soap and water, seeing I was touching that during washes (although I tried to not touch it with my hands at all). Touch nothing once you're all washed. This is easier said than done. 3. I found that I needed to use two lancets because I clotted much faster from my first try. It made the CLICK and definitely picked me, but the second time was definitely better and made collecting easier. That said, I think I tend to clot fast and I've had this issue at labs/doctors too so I guess I shouldn't have been so surprised. 4. Don't forget to rotate your hand so the blood drips into the tube without getting all over your hands. 5. It takes quite a bit of time using a lancet to collect all of the blood needed... it's not a lot of blood, it's just such a slow flow. My only concerns with the actual kit was that my collection tube appeared to have a droplet of water inside when I got it. Hopefully that's not an issue. It contains 3 lancets, 3 alcohol pads, a nail scrubber, and a rubber band for your wrist. I wish it had included more alcohol pads. Overall, it's a fairly simple process if you don't mind blood. I don't recommend doing this if you get queasy about blood. You have to draw it standing up and well... you don't want to faint. This is a similar process to what diabetics do to test their blood except you're trying to squeeze more blood out than they do. Attaching some pictures of the directions in case anyone wants to read up first.

Progress Review
3/15/2018: I am starting out by giving this company/test a 3 Star review. I ordered my test and received it 4 days later. I took my test on 3/12 at 9w4d. The collection process was annoying, but not too difficult. I have a very small half bath downstairs that I sanitized with Clorox wipes two times while my husband was at work. I made sure to wash my hands before and after opening the box too only to discover that you shouldn’t take it in the bathroom. Why? The bathroom was cleaner than the open area of my living room where I ended up taking the test anyways. Doesn’t it make sense to take the test in an area with less contaminants? (A smaller room?) anyways... I washed my hands with two different soaps 6 times before starting the test because the instructions were all over the place, and being in the medical field and currently working towards my phlebotomy certification, I noticed every time I contaminated everything. As far as the blood draw went, I have extremely small veins so I wasn’t expecting to get enough blood from one finger prick. However, I stuck my finger on the side instead of the bottom (where most people assume they need to stick it) and I had no issue filling to the line and only had to prick myself once. So ladies, spare yourself the stress of having an inconclusive test by sticking the SIDE of your finger tip. As I mentioned before, I mailed mine out on 3/12... it is currently 3/15 and my sample hasn’t even been delivered yet. I live only 2 hours away from their “lab,” so there is no reason why it didn’t arrive yesterday when it said it was going to. Obviously, this could be an issue with the postal service but it’s frustrating because you can’t even call their customer service line.. they request that you email (how promising is that..?). I am having a hard time believing that a blood sample would even be viable after 4 days of traveling without the necessary preservatives to keep the blood fresh and from clotting. The more I read into this company and the more I think about it, the more I start to think this could be a scam and I just wasted my money. We will see though. I will update when I get a result. UPDATE!! 3/19/2018: my test finally got delivered on a Saturday (5 days after I mailed it in) after being delayed for 3 days due to USPS error. I live 3 hours from the location.. so understand how frustrated I was. I reached out to SneakPeak via email since they don’t provide you with a phone number and they let me know that due to the inconvenience, they chose to give me an expedited processing time of 8hrs instead of 24! That was pretty cool. On Saturday night at 11:30, I checked my email and my results were in. It said BOY! Now— I obviously am more skeptical about this result since it’s easier to get a false boy result than a false girl result, but I know there’s no way I contaminated the sample. Like I mentioned before, the only male that lives in the house wasn’t present when I took the test. I also washed my hands 6 times with two different soaps and sanitized my “work area.” So I know if my test proves to be wrong, it’s not a matter of my own doing. I guess we will just wait and see. Therefore, I’m giving this product another star for being so accommodating. UPDATE 4/4/2018: I had my NT scan last week and the ultrasound tech said it looked like a boy, but since I was only 12 weeks at the time—it would need doctor confirmation. Yesterday (now 13weeks) my doctor gave me an ultrasound and also said it looked like a boy but we would definitely need to confirm at 20 weeks. I am leaving my review at 4 stars because of the annoying collection process. 12/8/2019– the test was correct! My son is almost 1.5 years old!
