Updated review (11 yrs later!) Nice little side table at a GREAT price!
⭐️ Update! ⭐️ It’s now 2024. I still have this table, and it’s still rock solid! The top is marred and scratched from general use, kids, moving… but honestly, I kinda like the more “lived in” feel of it now. The lower shelf and legs are much less worn than the top of the table. Zero wobble, zero issues; I’ve never had to tighten any hardware. I’m including two Update pictures to give a basic idea of what it looks like now. Note: I didn’t take the time to clean off/wipe down the table before snapping the pics, so what you see is exactly what it looks like on any given day after 11 YEARS (😮) of pets, kids, parties… life! — Original 2013 Review: — Title: Nice little side table at a GREAT price! EASY assembly! Possibly prone to smudging? I needed a side table to fit in the narrow space between my couch and the corner. This looked like a nice fit and the price was great and I'm very glad I purchased it. It arrived on time and was packaged very well in a small box. No scuffs, chips, or cracks in any of the pieces. It comes in pieces: top, 4 legs, bottom shelf, screws. It took maybe 5 minutes to put it together with a manual screwdriver. You just connect the legs to the top and then put the bottom shelf in and put the screws in from the bottom (this took a little elbow grease, but really you don't even need to put the screws in--the shelf sits snugly on the little ledges on the inside of the legs). It's tall and skinny and is really sturdy. My hefty 18-month old has crawled through on the bottom shelf several times and it shows no signs of stress or damage. You'll probably want to use coasters on the top, though. I put a cup directly on it and it seemed to smudge slightly from the condensation, but I'm not sure if it's permanent (Update: the smudged bits don't appear to have been permanent, though to be safe, I'm using coasters and wiping up any spilled liquid right away. Table still looks great!). Great price, nice product, SUPER easy assembly. It's obviously not a $200 table and probably isn't all real wood, but it looks seriously good for the thirty-something dollars I paid. I'd recommend this to anyone on a budget.

Great value for the money.
I'm a former cabinetmaker. Needed a small table and can no longer design, fabricate, assemble, finish myself. Well packaged. The finish was flawless. Very sturdy. Easy to assemble. Great fit of the factory assembled parts and the customer assembled parts. No off-gassing. I highly recommend. Notes: * When assembling use the box to hold up the lower panel, as shown in another person's review. * The nylon feet bumpers are prone to come loose. One fell out during assembly. These have a long, sharp nail imbedded in them, which are driven into the table leg. It would be nasty to step on one of these now, or 5 years from now, if it fell out. I suggest you use an appropriate adhesive for nylon to glue these to the leg, or remove these and replace with self adhesive bumper feet. Or, if the table will be on carpet, simply pry then out, nail and all, and save or discard. * The legs are secured to the table top using the supplied machine thread screws, which screw into metal threaded inserts that are in the legs. As you tighten the screws with the supplied hex wrench, be aware that you might feel and/or hear a small slippage or squeal. This is normal for threaded inserts. Just keep tightening until firm. Don't strip it. * Install 3 legs "for keeps", and keep one loose for the moment. This will give you the wiggle room to get the lower panel into place. Once in place tighten the 4th leg. * Doh! I almost put the bottom panel in wrong. First of all, keep in mind that the finished side of the button panel should face upwards when the table is in use. Second, place the bottom panel on the side of the corner brackets so that, when in use, the panel will rest upon the brackets, and not be underneath them. I almost screwed the panel in place from the wrong side! My bad. * Every few years, or if a shake develops, snug up the 4 machine thread screws with the hex wrench. This is normal for even a $400 end table :) This is a well made table

Excellent quality, at this price it is a STEAL
Seriously excellent product. I wish it was available in more finishes. I purchased the Espresso, and it looks great. I purchased it to go with a Levenger end table, which cost almost $300. My Levenger table opened at the top and had a compartment there; this table does not. I'm not sure that that should explain such a high price difference. 1) The quality of the Levenger table is clearly higher. The Levenger is real wood, this table is not. 2) The look of both tables is the SAME. Unless someone is crawling around on the floor under your table, they will not notice the difference. 3) The table comes with care instructions. I would bet that a number of reviewers did not follow the instructions and that's why they had trouble. I did what they suggested and wiped the table down with a microfiber cloth wet with soap and water (lightly wet, I should say), and it worked superbly. 4) Installation was a BREEZE. There were eight screws and once of those Ikea type z shaped hex screwdrivers. You really DO NOT need anything else. I did not bother with the four screws for the bottom shelf, as I found them unnecessary. They rest on a little triangle shaped shelf on the bottom of the legs. They will hold a stack of books and not fall, no problem. 5) Table is SO light. A senior with arthritis can pick up the shipping box, and put this table together. If you need the little table somewhere else, you can pick it up and move it. The table width is the size of two Kindle paperwhites sideways, and the size of two pieces of paper lengthwise. The height is perfect for a laptop or coffee cup while watching television. 6) If I had to choose between the Levenger table and this one, I would choose THIS one. As I do not get ten times the quality in the Levenger as I do for this one - why should I pay ten times the price? Buy this product, you won't regret it.

... by saying its an attractive looking table thats the perfect size for the end of a couch
Ill start off by saying its an attractive looking table thats the perfect size for the end of a couch. I initially bought one as an end table, and had much difficulty assembling the legs. The legs attach to the tabletop with a bolt with threads embedded within the tabletop. Unfortunately, the table I received had 2 of those leg holes completely stripped and the bolt would not thread, rendering the table useless. Enter Wood Glue...and copious amounts of it. After 3 days, wood glue, and clamps, you have 1 fully put together table. Now you may ask: why did you give this table 4 stars with all that difficulty? I ordered some bookshelf speakers for a workout area, and needed a small table to place them on. This table was the perfect size and was cheap enough for me to take another gamble on, so I decided to order a second one. It arrived and I immediately took it out of the box and went through the quick assembly process. Luckily everything fit together snugly and without struggle, as I did not have the threading issue I did with the first table. All in all...if you get a table like the first one, you'll need to make a trip to home depot for some glue and clamps. If you get a table like the second one, you'll have this table together in 5 minutes flat and enjoying its sturdiness and visual splendor.

Very Nice Little Table (Better After Modifications).
This is a very nice table. However, it is even better after some customization (see photos). The table was delivered in perfect condition (not a scratch on it), and it took all of 10 minutes to assemble. I added a couple of large cup holders and a USB/Outlet panel myself. I have a habit of knocking over drinks, so the cup holders really help to prevent that. The table is sturdy, but be careful during assembly. If you over-tighten the leg mounting bolts it will pull out the wood blocks with the steel threaded inserts. The blocks are only held in place with 4 to 6 brad nails and no glue. I had read previous reviews complaining of this issue, and figured it was from over-tightening the bolts, so I was able to avoid this. I also added a couple of finishing nails to each wood block for extra support. Also, the lower shelf is easy to attach if you lay the table on its side, and use your hand as a clamp around the leg and shelf, and push the wood screws in while turning. Once again, do not over-tighten these screws, as this table is made of soft wood and particle board. The cup holders and USB/Outlet panel are easy to install, after cutting out the holes with a couple of hole saws. Overall, this is a very sturdy and nice looking table for the money. I just needed it to be a little more "useful," so I customized it. The table is also very easy to assemble. However, I highly recommend putting away the drill or impact driver and using old-fashioned hand tools, so you don't strip-out, or over-tighten, any of the screws or bolts (everyone is in such a hurry to get things done these days). The manufacturer even supplies an Allen Wrench for the leg bolts. Overall, I highly recommend this table, especially after the "upgrades." Just take your time assembling it and everything will be fine.

GREAT VALUE!
ORDER FULFULLMENT AND SHIPPING: I purchased the BLACK side table directly from Amazon. PRIME shipment made promptly as promised. PACKING: Well packed. The product box was inside a larger "Amazon" box. The product box itself was very well packed, well cushioned with foam, corrugated sheets and bubble wrap. No scarred or damaged parts - all intact and all parts included. Box contained 4 legs, table top and table shelf, total of 6 large pieces. Also contained 4 upper screws and 4 lower shelf screws, as well as a small tool for assembly. You'll need to have a Phillips screwdriver on hand. If you've got a drill, it would be helpful, especially for the 4 lower shelf screws. ASSEMBLY: Instructions were simple and provided in graphic form (no text). The table could be most easily assembled by 2 people (helpful when attaching the bottom shelf according to the graphic instructions). However, it can be assembled by 1 person with a bit of adjustment in the instructions of Step Two. I'm a 67 yr old woman and I did it myself in about 35 minutes. If you're used to assembling such pieces and if you're strong (I'm not), the assembly could take much less time. The tricky part for me was attaching the bottom shelf. The instructions show the bottom shelf being attached with the table top flat on the floor (ie upside down). I finally figured I wasn't strong enough to do it that way. So instead I laid the table on its side while attaching the shelf, that way gravity was working for me instead of against me. (this will make more sense once you start assembling!) QUALITY: First, it's important to consider the price point and what you're buying. Don't expect this to be fine furniture. I read many reviews and felt some were naive. You can't expect that a table at this price should be compared to fine furniture. I've got some fine, solid wood pieces and some antique pieces and I knew I couldn't compare this inexpensive table to those - it would be like comparing apples to oranges. What I love about this is its simplicity and functionality. It has clean lines, is solid (heavy), and highly functional. I've got to be careful about scarring the surface (but that's common sense with any furniture.) If you're really concerned, you can put a piece of glass on top! The table is very versatile. Because of its simplicity and clean lines, it can mix with almost any style or decor. USAGE: I'm using this as a side table next to my reading/TV chair in living room. I use the bottom shelf as a "charging station" because the table is adjacent to a wall plug. The power strip and the cords are hidden by the bottom shelf. OTHER OPTIONS: I think you could put a piece of rectangular glass on top and could even enlarge the table top surface. I could also see taking 2 of these tables and making them into a console table with glass spanning them at the top with a smaller span at the bottom. BOTTOM LINES: The assembled table is as described. And it's a GREAT VALUE FOR THE PRICE! I would recommend this to a friend and I would buy it again.

Nice little nightstand!
I'm very pleased with this small 24" x12" table. Mine was made in China. It arrived with no dents or scratches. There was no bad smell. No smell at all. I drilled pilot holes to attach the bottom shelf to the legs and I used some no-mar clamps to hold the bottom shelf up while I screwed it on. It is not fine heirloom furniture that you plan to pass down through generations but it looks really nice and serves well as a simple nightstand. It feels solid and doesn't look cheap. Here are the warnings that came with it: 1) NEVER use glass cleaners on finished furniture, ammonia will chemically attack the lacquer 2) NEVER allow liquids of any kind to remain in decorative route lines. Absorption causes wood to warp and finishes to de-laminate. 3) PREVENT MARKING do not write directly on surface 4) PREVENT FADING do not place in direct sunlight 5) PREVENT DISCOLORATION do not use rubber-based placemats, use cloths! 6) PREVENT YELLOWING do not use commercial waxes and polishes 7) PREVENT DAMAGE TO FINISH do not place hot kettles, pots, etc on surface 8) PREVENT SPLITTING maintain even humidity conditions in your home 9) TO CLEAN simply use a cloth moistened in lemon oil polish or lukewarm soap & water then buff with a dry clean cloth! I would not use this table in a frat-house or in a commercial setting where it was going to get heavy use (unless I put a piece of glass on top of it to protect the surface) but in a quiet home with responsible adults who have the patience to assemble it properly, I think it is a very good deal. You could pay more to get a better table, or pay a lot more to get a better table made out of solid wood. If I were wealthy then that is what I would do. But I'm not wealthy and this little table fits my needs very well without breaking the bank. It needs some TLC (see list above) but it looks elegant, not cheap. If the need ever arose, I would certainly buy another one.

Cheap but Practical for our needs.
We have a king size bed in a tiny bedroom, and we barely have a foot of space on either side of the bed. I got these hoping they would fit and they do - barely. I had to jam them in a bit which probably scuffed them up a bit, but I don't mind. I have gone without bedside tables for a year and it was driving me crazy. I specifically sought out something narrow, cheap and easy to assemble knowing it was probably going to get beat up being shoved in that way. We will replace them with something better and more expensive when we move. Until then, these are great. It took less than 10 minutes to put two together. It comes with the key to screw on the top, but nothing for the bottom screws (Philips head). Also, there are no pilot holes in the bottom shelf. Luckily my husband left his tools and drill home today and I was able to screw them in with that, otherwise, I would have been annoyed. (Seems silly to drill them in everything BUT the bottom shelf, no? These are sturdy for what I need them for and they look nice. If we didnt have kids and they weren't stuffed into a corner between the bed and the wall, they'd probably last awhile.

Great Side Table
Very impressed with this purchase! It was really easy to put together and it’s very sturdy. Well worth what I paid. It matches my coffee and end tables perfectly and it looks great with my sofa set. Much cheaper than other side tables I looked at and I’m so glad I found this! It’s exactly what I was looking for! I was a bit worried after reading the negative reviews but it arrived fast, in excellent condition and is perfect!

Perfect little table.
I'm actually using it in the bathroom to cover a litter box (I did not install the bottom shelf of the table for this reason) because my cat won't use the litter boxes with the rooftop lids. This is a sort of compromise haha. It looks nice though and matches my dark brown cabinets pretty well. It's a cute little table and it was super easy to assemble. I reinforced the legs with a bit of wood glue, so it's not wobbly at all.
