Illustrated Study Bible NLT (Hardcover)

I love it. It is so readable.

The NLT is such a gift from God. Unlike the ESV or NKJV or the usual 'more literal' Bible translations, the NLT really helps the reader understand what is being said in a way that neither distorts or alters God's word. Every time I cross-check verses with literal translations, the NLT holds up beautifully. So please, please, please, PLEASE --- if this is the first time you are reading the Bible -- do yourself a favor and read through the NLT. Do you need a strategy? Start by reading Romans, 1 John, 1 Corinthians, etc and just read all the super short Epistles first. Easy. If God's word speaks to you, you'll feel it after reading these short letters. If not, then maybe some other time. Wanting more? Then read the Gospels and Acts, then finally Revelation, THEN go back to the beginning and start with Genesis and read through the entire Bible. This illustrated study Bible does such a wonderful job at helping you read through and understand everything, so I beg you, please, don't make the same mistake I made starting with the ESV - start with THIS. I wish you luck dear Amazon shopper. Reading the Bible has completely changed my life. I hope it does the same for you.

I like how this Bible really digs deep into certain questions that we might have . For example the descriptions on who the people are and what a tabernacle is and what a Passover is, and the plagues all of those things have really good descriptions. I like the images they’re very bright and easy to follow. The only negative thing I have to say is that sometimes I feel a verse that should have a bigger explanation usually has only one or two lines so that can be a bit frustrating sometimes during studies but I have found that if I just go find that somewhere else, it’s fine. I use this Bible study alongside my regular Bible and it worked very well so I’ll just read the scripture along with my audio Bible and then whatever questions I have I just look inside of this book and it’s really helped me delve deeper into my Bible studies. I would recommend for sure.

Super

I bought this bible because Rudy the guardian uses it for his bible study on tiktok and on YouTube. This is the version he uses so it's easier for me to follow along with it. I quite like this study Bible. It gives me a lot more information than a niv study Bible I already had and it is in plain normal everyday language. I've added tabs to the Bible since the pages are thin and it's easier to find each chapter that way. I've never read off an entire chapter till I bought this Bible

Huge, bigger then i expected. Nice though, very good studies within.

Lots of color, nice content. Not too simple but not academic level, a nice mid-level education source. It's a great bible, nice color, attractive layout, great content. I use mostly as a source of study that isn't beginner simple and but not heavy academic either. It is big and heavy, this is not one I could take to class or church. I have it for at-home use. Honestly, I think there are other illustrated bibles that are better than this one. But this is right up there as one of the best. It's a great option for people who like visual learning. I don't regret buying it. I think about giving it as a gift for a new Christian though.

Great Bible with so many good references and graphics. Makes my read through so much more informative. And the NLT - best translation in my lifetime.

This bible is great, there I so much information that in a normal bible you just wouldn't get. Some cons that I see, - Small letters in many places - The Paper is quite thin - Quite large The paper is thin and the words are small in places, to provide more details and to not make the bible so heavy, if this would bother you i would suggest finding the version with larger print and getting that one instead. Anyways, The bible is a bit heavy, but its not a problem for me since I have many other ones that can be used outside my home, usually I just keep this one at home. And pages are actually thin, but as far as I can see not so thin to see much through it, still good quality, oh also at the beginning and end of the bible, it includes some really good quality paper, and at the back has a few blank pages to write on, or even draw since its really thic, which is nice. Overall this bible is fantastic for those who want to know all the details of the bible and to insert yourself into the old times. Some pros are... - Really colorful illustrations, that are so detailed - So much information, and great for beginners - Came earlier than expected - Nice covers My friend recommended me this study bible and I cannot be more thrilled. I am overwhelmed by the focus on detail here. Anyways I really do think this is a great bible to have, unless the cons really do bother you. They don't pop into your face, so I don't really care or notice, so I bought it. I might add some photos later.

Item received with good condition. This bible is exactly like how it is advertised. In fact, the item was delivered to me two days earlier than the estimated day 👍🏻

Packed with maps, timelines, topic studies, character summaries, book summaries, word studies, background info, cross references and bright, verse for verse commentary and vibrant pictures. I got so much more than I ever expected. This is so worth the money and I 100% recommend it to anyone wanting to understand the Bible better, doesn't matter if you're new to reading the Bible or a theologen, this book is an absolute blessing. Thank you to everyone who contributed to this wealth of wisdom.

I love this study bible - a lot of extra context and content provided- excellent job!!
