This grommet tool works very well. I've installed well over 100 grommets in multiple kinds of materials. I was able to save an expensive outdoor banner that we've had for several years. The original grommets were pulling out of the material so I installed new ones all the way around the whole thing. When you take some of the bottom half of the grommets out the bag, you need to make sure you only have one. They tend to stick together and what seems like one might actually be 2 or 3 stuck together. I give them a little twist to flex and run my fingernail down the edge to separate them.

Great tool. Life saver for replacing or installing grommets. Easy to use the tool for installation.

I purchased these to punch holes in Velcro in order to make hook keeper wraps for my Ice Fishing Tip Ups. The tool is heavy duty and works wonderfully!.. I wish there were an alternative method for holding the grommet in place when working with non-ferrous metals like Aluminum, but over-all the tool is awesome and easy to use.

I washed my shower curtain and a ring came off, luckily I have this and replaced it, easy to use. The design wasn’t exactly the same as the other rings the curtain came with but who’s going to look that close? The design works just as well as the others with a good grip and wasn’t sharp when I touched it after I fixed the curtain. The finish is clean so I’d recommend it. Worked for what I needed it for.

This is a great set that works everytime and should last forever.

Needed to add grommets to cover / tarp on a portable shed. Put a strip of duct tape front and back for additional strength. Loaded tool with grommet and backer, quick easy one squeeze. The grommet was set, clean punch through. Tool saved disassembling the cover and using a manual punch-set.

This is a good product, the hand held, hand press is sturdy and well made. The grommets are of a good quality. The only complaint I have, is the packaging - there was not one word of instructions or even a photo of the washers, grommets, or grommet tool. The washers, an important part of keeping a grommet attached to material, are buried inside the same plastic bag and because there are no instructions or even an explanation of what the contents of the purchase was, we were confused because we didn't see the washers. They are inside the bag, they work well and are well made too. My frustration, is the people that worked hard to make this grommet press and washers, did a good job. A great job. The packaging did them a diservice. We love this tool, it works very well and I think anyone would be happy with their purchase. Please include instructions, and a list of the contents of the purchase.

This is one of those products you should probably ignore both the 5 star and 1 star reviews. This grommet tool doesn't deserve 1 star if used as it should, which is for quick simple projects where longevity isn't critical. Any review that calls these high quality grommets should also be ignored as clearly those people have never used an actual high quality grommet. I bought this hoping to make a vinyl porch inclosure with stainless steel grommets. This won't work well for that at all. It doesn't fit the grommets and the included ones are too sharp and weak for that use. I think this is best for adding grommets to temporary cardboard signs and similar projects. PROS: Super fast and simple to use - much faster than standard grommet tools that require a hammer. CONS: Does not fit quality grommets like CS Osborne's Grommets included are cheap, sharp, and not suited to hanging plastic or vinyl Too expensive - this is a cheap Chinese tool and isn't really worth more than $25

Works well. Shame it doesn't come in a case.

I needed to make a swatch set of my available fabrics for my shop and grabbed this tool to do it nicely. It works really well and is easy to figure out. I had to punch a lot of fabric and over time my hand started to feel sore with how hard I was closing the tool. No need to pre cut out where you want to place the grommet, using this tool creates a hole. Using it for thicker fabrics, the harder I closed the tool the easier that fabric came right out.
