Satisfied
Needs some final finishing to the planing surface and a razor edge on the blade, but overall it is a great value for this type of tool.

Good tool once tuned up
Like most handtools in this price range, out of the box it was basically unusable. In this case, I had to file or grind nearly every aspect of the tool to get the mouth straight, blade bedded properly, and sole flat. It wasn't too bad using my Worksharp, but I wouldn't have wanted to approach it entirely by hand. The blade is fairly thin, and while it will take a decent edge, it won't hold it for very long (tested on maple and sapele). Still, if you're looking for a first spokeshave and have the ability to do some tuning, this is a pretty good value and definitely got the job done in the end. I may eventually replace this with a Veritas or LN, but I'm glad I went with this one first to get a proper understanding of the tool.

Be careful what you buy
I didn't realize that I had choose the one without the micro adjust stays so when it came I just dove into flattening the shave and sharpening the blade then realized what I had bought getting the blade properly adjusted is hard and it tends to move when cutting hard wood the fit and finish was off and required work to get into proper shape works alright for soft wood but I wouldn't count on it for making tool handles so I will be buying something else to replace it

Cheap is a price.
Man was this rough when it arrived none of the surfaces of the tool were prepped or polished which means chatter. Even after working on getting them smooth for months it still cracked under the pressure... I'll make a better one from the parts.

Dull and warped, hard to adjust
Very difficult to adjust and needs a lot of sharpening. Also needed to file off paint causing transfer to my wood. Will be replacing with adjustable spokeshave, likely a Stanley.

Blade gap is too large
The blade gap is too large skips on the wood no matter what you do terrible. Tried to use it on Cherry. Ruined my project.
