Very nice book. Everything explained very clearly easy to understand.

Good book on basic concepts of chemistry. Illustrated with lots of pictures and the book is a basic layman’s edition of the types of reactions and a little history of the chemistry world. I read it in a day and thought it a was great crash course or introduction to the chemistry of life and how it ties into our generation from the past discoveries of our ancestors.

Very well written and very informative

It is engaging and easy for kids to follow. One of the best things about it is that it helps my child stay away from screens for a while. It’s truly a great screen-free activity, which is something we really value as parents. My children like it, and we as parents are very happy with it overall. That said, the organization and structure of the content could still be improved and made more refined.

Great book! Good illustrations. My 8 yr old reads it with his dad and it satisfies his curiosity with chemicals and bonds. Makes chemistry easy to understand.

I bought these books to use in my classroom and they are perfect for getting my students to help understand the subject matter. They are amazingly well written, have excellent diagrams and images, and are easy to understand. After buying these for the classroom I decided to buy them for my middle school grandchildren.

My 10-year-old son loves this series of books. He has the Chemistry and Biology books and is asking for the Physics and Math books for Christmas. He is learning concepts that his sister (a freshman) is learning in her high school chemistry and biology classes. In fact, he helped her with her homework, explaining ions and atomic structure. We stayed up at bedtime learning what a Lewis Structure was because he was so interested. These books are fantastic. I hope Smithsonian also puts out a Super Simple Earth Science book!

My 11 year old never took chemistry but is interesting. We read this together every night and only skipped a few later topics. He will have this book as a second souyof explanations when he's actually taking chemistry in school in middle school too.

I bought 3 books from this series and they all have the same issue with the glue. Not happy with the quality. The book is falling apart.
