This keyboard has a slim line design, solid construction, responsive key touch, and a soft clickity-clack sound. It's an excellent value for the price.

My grandma has an HP laptop that breaks on occasion and needs the F key to be pressed to repair it on start up, but doesn't recognize its internal keyboard for some reason, so this was a quick and cheap fix for that. It's a basic QWERTY keyboard and does keyboard things, but it's also nice to have a back up for odd situations like this one where tech fails for some reason or another.

My keyboard fritzed out on me in the middle of a big job that had to be out by the next afternoon, so I ordered this in a pinch and paid a little extra to get it delivered first thing in the morning. I didn't expect much; it was very inexpensive, but I must say I really like it. It has low-profile keys, which makes it easier to type faster and it has the little number pad on the right side, which is a must-have for me. It's not as fancy as my old keyboard, no lights or bells & whistles, but I think I like it better than my old board. Sometimes simpler really IS better!

Great keyboard with 99% in common with my all time favorite keyboard... the ASUS keyboard MODEL: AW211. The only reason I'm switching out my keyboard after 8-9 years is because of the amount of dirt that builds up over that time period. I am hoping the Amazon Basics brand MD-005 keyboard has the same longevity. Immediately you'll notice the keyboard layout is the same until you reach the only 3 lights on the top right, but I believe the cord is a foot longer on the Amazon model. With my ASUS motherboard and AMD chipset, this keyboard fails to be recognized (unlike my ASUS one) on startup. I simply have to unplug my MD-005 USB and plug it back in and no further issues until I turn my PC off again. I use this keyboard for internet browsing and some work, but mostly for gaming actually. The responsiveness and feel of these keyboards is unmatched, but the amazon one (for better or worse) has slightly stiffer keys in terms of how much effort they require to push down. On rare occasion, one time so far, a keystroke will be missed. This could very well be user error. All in all, even with the issue of needing to plug it back in every restart, this keyboard well worth it. It's nothing fancy, but it's exactly what I wanted. I removed a star as my hands get more tired of typing on this keyboard than my ASUS one and the inconvenience of needing to unplug and plug it back in on startup. I would however still recommend this keyboard despite these flaws. While I am gaming the stiff keys are not noticed.

Great keyboard, great for everyday use.

Workhorse keyboard. It's wired so need to worry about battery, and the cord is pretty long too. The buttons are responsive, and make very little noise. Plug it in and it works, PnP functionality compatible fir windows. The keys are a bit small compared to larger mechanical keyboards but it definitely works well. The best part? I used one of these for 3-4 years gaming before encountering sticking keys. And getting a new one is so cheap it was pocket change compared to the pricy ones. My recommendation? If you need an external keyboard, or several, this is the way to go. Good backup keyboard too! For the casual gamer it has very little latency and it's quite ergonomic. It IS flat though, so if you prefer yours angled, you'll need your own stand or other accessories. All in all, it does exactly what it's designed to do, and it does it well. 10/10

This is my second amazonbasics keyboard and I rate this one as improved over my first one, purchased ten years ago. I will add that the price also dropped from $12 to $9! The keys on the newer model are easier to press, smooth and quiet. I would say that it's a regular size keyboard and the appearance of both the older and newer one is the same besides changing from a glossy finish to a matt finish. A great deal!

This keyboard works very well, except that the Print Screen key would not work like it is supposed to, using the Fn key and Print Screen. I fiddled around with it a bit, and somehow it now takes a screenshot with the use of the Windows key and Print Screen instead, so I am satisfied with it. I bought it on sale, so it was a good deal too.

El teclado está súper bien, todo funciona y prende como debe. Además de que suena muy bien! El problema es que no leí bien y lo pedí en inglés el teclado, pero configurando el idioma se soluciona y queda un súper teclado. No lo recomiendo si no te sabes los botones en el teclado de español puesto que si te llegarás a confudir por el cambio de posición de algunas teclas. Si te lo sabes, te lo súper recomiendo!
